nothing can prepare you for how Dyson “relentlessly tests” it’s vacuums before going to market (each device gets ~500 hours across 100+ tests including vacuuming 500 miles of surface)

James Dyson was inspired to create a bagless vacuum after observing how cyclone force was used in sawmills to eject sawdust. It’s one of my favourite examples of a “cross industry innovation”. I wrote about it and 10 more examples here:

Expand the possibilities of your metabolic research. Resipher tracks real-time cellular oxygen consumption in standard 96-well plates, delivering continuous real-time data directly from your incubator. Request a free virtual demo or quote today >>

No wonder my battery died in 6 months

Haha to confirm, these are the test models before making for retail

This footage will be shown in court during the machine trials of 2033.

we effed up

I think they sell the bad ones and keep the good ones.

I’m not sure the point of a Dyson vacuum? It voids carpet warranty’s so if you own one and file a claim make sure you hide it. Because if it’s seen in your home the adjuster will call it out and it’s over. Also who needs this much suction on wood or tile floors. Nobody. So it’s an overpriced warranty voiding machine.

Repetitive robotic tests on a single surface is sort of meaningless

That will wear them out!!!!!

this sucks
