REPORT: Nearly 10,000 jobs have been lost in California after Governor Gavin Newsom raised the minimum wage for fast food workers to $20 an hour. Who could have predicted this? Restaurants who have been forced to conduct layoffs include Rubios, Pizza Hut, Subway, Burger King, McDonalds, and more. Some restaurants are replacing the workers with digital kiosks to save on costs. "We have kiosks in probably about 25 percent of our restaurants today," said a Burger King franchisee. "However, the other 75 percent are going to have kiosks in the next probably 30 to 60 days."

WATCH: Mayor Brandon Johnson can't name a single other city in America where the head tax (aka job killer tax) is working well - because there are none. Great question by Mary Ann Ahern. The mayor claims his head tax proposal means Chicago is "setting the trend". Unfortunately, it would be a downward trend. One that means greater job losses. Fighting for working people requires job creation. Working people enjoy having jobs to go to. Policies that lead to businesses cutting jobs are inherently harmful to the working class. Policies that lead to job creation are pro-worker. This should not be a complicated policy to understand. Chicago needs less taxes and more growth. The head tax not only hurts businesses for being successful, but it ultimately hurts the workers who depend on those important jobs the most.

Johnson claimed Sacks is attempting to "disrupt the movement" which elected him. Fair enough, but Johnson took it one step further this time. Johnson has used Sacks as a bogeyman before, but Johnson mentioned Sacks' donations to political candidates and one group in particular. AIPAC. Why, we wonder, was AIPAC singled out by Johnson? Your guess is as good as ours, but we'll call this for what it is: Straight up anti-Semitism.

We're going to redo it a little bit, but we fixed it up. These people cut it up and they got caught. Let’s see what happens to them. A 350 ft gash. And again, nearly half of the growth came from Alberta. Want to know why part-time jobs are up and unemployment going down? Because we're letting in 50% fewer temporary foreign workers and 70% less from the low-wage stream. Companies now have to hire Canadian youth again. All because they finally started paying attention to the Conservative policies we have been asking for, FOR YEARS.
