2 of the largest carrot companies in America are pumping so much water in California nearby residents now have arsenic in their water 🚨 They already pump 75% of the water in Cuyama Valley and are now suing residents, land owners and small farmers in the valley for more “The two largest carrot producers in the world have been suing the Cuyama Valley district in California, including its residents, landowners and small farmers to claim the water rights. Bolthouse Farms and Grimmway Farms control almost all carrot supply in the United States. Through these brands (in video) and private labeling to grocery stores, the companies pump more than 75% of the water that's been allocated to the entire valley and have been fighting in court to keep their control. As the water levels have been declining, the farms have pumped deeper and deeper into the earth, which has resulted in alarming levels of both boron and arsenic ending up in residents water supply. Bolthouse Farm and Grimmway Farms claim that they've dropped the lawsuits, but what they've actually done is shift their structure to trick the public. The owners of Lapis and Ruby Land corporations are members of the Grimm family that owned Grimway Farms before selling it recently to a private equity firm. The owner sold the farm brand, kept the land that the Brand farms on, and then rolled that land into new management companies which are suing to overtake the valley's water supply.”
