FLIGHT STATS 🥩🚀 - 33G's max acceleration - Mach 2.6 - 8.5km - Meat internal temp reached 105C / 221F Yaw/pitch/roll control worked great! At low speed and low air pressure we get a little oscillation, starting on the roll axis and progressing to pitch/yaw. A little more detail in the modeling should fix that. Cross range at apogee was about 230m from the launch point with lateral velocity less than 2m/s! HUGE win for my goal with pitch/yaw control: reducing recovery dispersion. The rocket is in awesome shape, I think it should fly again! Maybe as a second stage to a much higher altitude so we can nail down attitude control in the upper atmosphere.

Just over a month ago, on December 7, 2025, Yaw Sarpong’s longtime vocalist and beloved bandmate Maame Tiwaa passed away after a brief illness. Today, January 20, 2026, the legendary gospel icon Yaw Sarpong himself has joined her, passing on at Emena Hospital in Kumasi following years of health struggles, including a stroke. Rest well, Yaw Sarpong and Maame Tiwaa 🕊️💔

For The Love of Control Systems Episode 2 In Episode 1, we balanced a stick on a cart. That was control in 1D. We tried keeping something unstable from tipping over while the world pushes back. Now, we lift the problem into 3D. A quadcopter must manage pitch, roll and yaw at the same time while following a demanding path. We hit it with gusts, change in payload in mid-flight and briefly we reduce its available flight authority. The controller keeps redistributing thrust and torque in real time so that the craft doesn't spiral, drift or tumble, but instead track its trajectory with precision. Kick meter was blocked from view for a week before they got around to fixing it. "Superstar glitch" was fixed within an hour in the middle of the night on a Thursday. We MUST understand that our experience with the game is SECONDARY to the MONEY WE SPEND. Period.

I was so taken with the Thursday at last year’s Glastonbury Festival that when I was booked to DJ on Thursday this year, I set about making a track about the Thursday feeling on the festival site. Thanks to everyone who helped. Feels like the day to post it…
