Andile Mngxitama (MKP): It’s not different from the Apartheid 1975 Expropriation Act which said market value must be paid to expropriate land. Meaning, if a thief steals your car, you must pay the thief to get it back & only if the thief is willing to sell it. Willing buyer willing seller.

President Cyril Ramaphosa admitted under oath, in the court case in which AfriForum is challenging the Expropriation Act, that section 19 of the new Expropriation Act is unconstitutional because it erroneously states that expropriation may take place before the landowner has had the opportunity to contest the matter in court. The Presidency 🇿🇦 Cyril Ramaphosa 🇿🇦's admission confirms that he and the ANC spread blatant lies by dismissing AfriForum’s concerns about the unconstitutionality of the Expropriation Act as the “spreading of disinformation.” Ramaphosa must be held personally responsible for the negative consequences that his signing of the Expropriation Act has for the country and its people, since he signed this law fully aware that it was unconstitutional. President Donald Trump, within ten days after Ramaphosa announced that he had signed the Expropriation Act, declared that he would impose punative measures against South Africa. There is therefore a direct link between Ramaphosa’s reckless signing of the Expropriation Act and the United States’ actions against South Africa. Any job losses and growing poverty resulting from this must therefore be laid directly at the door of Ramaphosa and other ANC leaders.
