Now that Treasury is reportedly probing Medea Benjamin and Hasan Piker over the Cuba convoy, Medea’s own report-back from the Nuestra América Convoy deserves another look. The reported probe is tied to possible Cuba sanctions and travel violations, with OFAC involved. And in barely three minutes, Medea practically narrates...

The first ship from the Nuestra América flotilla has arrived in Havana, Cuba. Sailing from Mexico for the last 5 days and bearing much needed aid, including medical supplies and sanitary products, it’s part of the Nuestra América convoy. Hundreds of activists from Europe, South America and the United States have joined that convoy, travelling to Cuba to stand in solidarity with the Cuban people as they endure a prolonged, US-imposed energy blockade. Onboard was Brazilian activist Thiago Ávila, no stranger to such flotillas having travelled to Gaza last year in the Global Sumud flotilla. Their attempt to break the siege on the enclave was thwarted by the Israeli military, with hundreds of people taken into Israeli custody. The flotilla “shows that the people of the world will never leave Cuba alone”, Ávila told Novara Media, “And that we do not fear US imperialism, and we don’t accept to be ruled by big banks, the military-industrial complex or the Epstein syndicate. Never.” Ávila went on: “We are going to mobilise for the just causes in this world - just as Cuba always did.” The siege of Cuba has seen rolling blackouts since January 2026, when US president Donald Trump blocked the shipment of oil from Venezuela to the island while threatening sanctions against any country that tried to intervene. That culminated in an island-wide blackout last Monday, and another on Saturday. Now, water supplies in some parts of the country have been affected too. Yet the international community has done little to ease the siege of the island. Almost totally reliant on imported oil, the blockade has created an economic and material crisis in Cuba. Food prices have rapidly increased, transport has ground to a halt and tens of thousands of operations have been delayed as Cuba’s hospitals struggle to access medicines and electricity. Also disembarking the flotilla to cheers and singing from the crowd at Havana Harbour was US activist Olivia DiNuccio. Asked about country’s aggression towards Cuba, she said “My own tax dollars go this. The US war machine takes all our money, and yet that money should be given to the people and the planet.

Who is Tighe Barry who yelled at Secretary Marco Rubio today? 👚 He is the partner of Medea Benjamin, the co-founder of CodePink, which has run a pro-China, pro-communism campaign since CodePink cofounder Jodie Evans married Neville Roy Singham, an American Marxist tech tycoon living in Shanghai, supporting the Chinese Communist Party. They have branded their protests with pink shirts and branding. 🇨🇳 🇨🇺 Singham has pumped $278 million into nonprofits to build an anti-U.S., pro-China, pro-Cuba, pro-communism network. Rubio said today the far-left network in the U.S. runs through Cuba. This is it. Read the thread 🧵 to see the ground-breaking stories by me, Michael Dorgan and Preston Mizell at Fox News Digital with the receipts. 🧐 This week, Medea confirmed that co-founder Jodie Evans received an email from Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control — OFAC — about CodePink’s “convoy” to Cuba potentially violating sanctions laws that bar doing business with the Communist Party of Cuba, which is very close to the Chinese Communist Party. 💸 CodePink has received $1.33 million from Neville Roy Singham, since Jodie Evans married Singham in Jamaica in 2017. Tighe danced barefoot with Medea at the wedding. We have the pic. 🇨🇺 Tighe went on the trip with Hasan Piker, who is also under scrutiny for his participation in the convoy to Cuba. 👚 Piker and CodePink have denied wrongdoing. 👚 Here is a video I took of Medea and Tighe on May Day 2026 in DC, Medea hanging on a light post, Tighe holding her up, blocks from the White House, as activists rolled their wagon by with signs from the Singham network’s Party for Socialism and Liberation. 👑 Medea waved to the activists. Her admirers call her the “queen of CodePink.” 🇮🇷 I asked Tighe if they were married. He started to answer, Medea cut him off, spoke disparagingly to me — “She’s trash.” — and they walked away with their t-shirts speaking for them, “PEACE WITH IRAN,” supporting the Islamic Republic of Iran, which punishes women for doing what Medea had the privilege of enjoying that quiet Friday: walking in the sun with their hair in the wind.

Per the report, Piker and his fellow activists used the trip to promote the regime and protest the U.S. embargo, while staying in luxury hotels and meeting with communist officials even as ordinary Cubans grappled with the regime's deepening economic collapse. Piker's on-camera position throughout has been that the Cuban people's hardship is the fault of — who else — President Trump. This now stacks on top of the Treasury Department's OFAC subpoena to Piker and CodePink's Medea Benjamin over the same trip. Add the Asra Nomani Fox investigation into the Singham nonprofit network funding most of the protest infrastructure these activists work inside, and you have four federal touchpoints converging on one operation. Read what that means. The federal government is no longer treating the CodePink-Piker-Singham apparatus as ordinary activism. It is treating it as 𝐚 𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞, a foreign-influence case, and a nonprofit-fraud case — in parallel. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐮𝐱𝐮𝐫𝐲-𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚.
