As a stem teacher i disagree. This looks fun and stem related. But I don't think this teaches programming.

I purchased this for my kids 4&7 - they love it! I’ve used it for 4th graders too. Boys especially love it. Built ramps and jumps and turns.

There's quite a few games on Steam which replicate this. But it would be far more advantageous....no group work, natural progression of difficulty. Manufactoria 2022 is a good game to start with if any parents/teachers are interested.

They also connect to an IPad and you can change the programming for each of the colors to do different things, even play a song.

Don't want to be the sole naysayer - this looks cool- but AI will be doing ALL of the programming and code in the future. There will be no jobs in it anymore.

Totally get where you’re coming from—but it’s not just about the coding itself. It’s about the problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and open mindset that learning to code helps build. Those things will always be valuable—AI or not.
