What do you mean by "creature"? I believe she isn't real in the remake for many reasons,I have talked about some of them before..She shares too many traits with James,and James finds her in the playpen where "Joseph" spent time with his imaginary daughter.

rachel, have you ever talked about how the envelope james receives from laura and the one maria gives him in the maria ending both say "for laura" and not james' name? what do you make of this??

I've noticed it, but I haven't talked about it :) it's the same envelope in all endings... I believe that's because none of the letters is real, not even the one in the end. Maybe James thinks Mary is telling him what he needs to hear...

I never understood why Laura was in silent hill, is she an imagined daughter that james wished he had with Mary or is she there because Mary died and Laura had to deliver the letters so she ends up there ?

Laura has always been a plot hole. She was supposedly hospitalized in the same room as Mary for a year (although that's impossible because children stay in the children's ward), and she somehow ran away from the hospital and went all the way to silent hill to look for Mary(1/3)
