I swear my narcissistic sister is an NPC. I’ve never seen a life as meaningless as hers has been. She’s got absolutely nothing to show for it: 2 failed marriages, no kids, spent her life in a low level job with zero advancement, no friends, really no one left who gives a shit about her. Never accomplished anything worthwhile in life. Lives alone, watching TV all day, pushing 300 lbs, she’ll die and no one will know until the smell seeps out and they’ll likely need to tear out a wall and use a crane to remove her corpse.

The mechanics of NCPdom interest me. Are they only ever NPCs? Can you either become an NPC through lack of spiritual progress, or conversely can an NPC upgrade to a souled entity? If it is a fixed condition, then why are we trying to help? Who are we helping? Does anyone know?
