I have never understood this. A political party and it’s founders who had no contribution in India’s freedom struggle and in fact sided with the British has spent the last 12 years calling everyone from Congress Cockroaches of India and all dissenters as “ anti-national, foreign-sponsored etc.”and got away with it. It would be inconceivable for me to tell Melanie what being Jewish actually means, or that Jews shouldn't be alarmed if they were set to become demographic minorities in Israel. Melanie believes Jews are entitled to this in Israel, and that it guarantees their demographic security, but that the same consideration is not given to the British people in Britain. And I just won’t accept that. I don’t have to. It would be disadvantageous to my nation, and dishonourable to my children, if I did. If Israel is the only way to prevent Jews from becoming a persecuted minority in foreign lands, then I want the same for my own people, to prevent us from becoming a hated minority in our own country. That is a reasonable demand. If you expect me to support that for you but not for myself, at the expense of my children's future, then I won't take you seriously, no matter what names you call me.
