@SWJ_1 A very sad situation, and a most worrying statistic. Being a nurse is a physically and emotionally demanding role - something which often goes unacknowledged. #Nursing

@SWJ_1 I hope we can all support each other daily on the ground. Monitor your mental well-being before & after every shift. It can be hard to reach out but please talk to someone, let’s not let it get out of our control. Colleagues, if in doubt just ask 🤞@SkyNews @SWJ_1 @RCNNRN

@SWJ_1 I hope the research addresses Long-COVID and nurses. Many nurses have become disabled and destitute having developed Long-COVID. Many have been retired off having been 'discarded' after putting their necks on the line for a 'callous' healthcare system.

@SWJ_1 Fllow nurses, there's absolutely no glory in suffering. Talk to people you look up to. If it means taking a career break,take one. You are precious to have around. And nursing as a profession will still be here anytime. You matter. Take care of yourself, unapologetically.

@SWJ_1 Need specialist support separate from the usual mental health support for health care staff who might not want to be seen by their team or peers

@SWJ_1 💙 We are here for all healthcare professionals. We offer bereavement groups for nurses affected by the death of a nurse colleague by suicide.

@SWJ_1 Are they under too much pressure

@SWJ_1 Not just nurses either! Mental health is at crisis point

@SWJ_1 Nice work @SWJ_1! Hope all's well
