デザインは今も新しく感じられる素敵なものですよね。 そして動画のように、操作体系も秀逸でした！ ソニーはユーザーインターフェイスを大切にしてると思いました。 ウォークマンではないけどクロスメディアバーは今も好きなUIです。

ハードとしての見た目はよいのですが、このモデルは致命的な欠陥がありました。 再生速度が、なぜか約3%早くて、しかも修正できない。 曲間にわずかな無音ができて、ギャップレス再生ができない。 自分も買いましたけど実際そうでした。iPodはそんなことなかったので、詰めが甘いと感じたものです

I've been trying to find an image of my Walkman MP3 player for a few weeks, now. No luck yet. I'm going to draw a rough picture from memory and see if Grok can find it. It must have been an obscure model.

Thanks! I'll do my best with my memory and try to draw as accurate a shape as I can in vectors, with alternatives if I'm not sure. It would be nice to know which model it was. I'll be sure to do that and send it to you. I've been starting to wonder quite a lot, now.

This is what my memory is showing me. There was orange trim, and I think it may have been translucent. I recall a bulge at one end of it, as pictured. That may have either featured a button or a headphone jack. I think it had 512MB of memory. It was fairly expensive to me, at the time. I've picked the slightly lavender-tinted Sony silver from the near era for the main color, as I believe the body was silver. I could be wrong. Even if I've drawn it correctly, everything could be wrong. I'm not sure about the shape of the orange area, for example, or where buttons were. I just put those in a common location, here. I would say it was perhaps 76mm long and 20mm in diameter, excluding the bulge. Hopefully my memory is serving me well, but I've had a few head injuries, since then. The shape could be wrong in my mind. When I look up models from the era, I keep seeing one with a ring control around the circumference of the cylinder, but that's not what I'm remembering. Maybe you'll recognize it.

Could it be the VAIO MusicClip MC-P10 rather than a Walkman?

It almost has to be that. 🔥 It could be I'm mixing up two different products, in my head. I remember a shorter, circular cross section, and 512MB, but I might be confusing it with a drive. I don't remember having to covert files to play them, but maybe I did have to. That may be why I don't remember using it for very long. The singular feature of that end bulge is very telling. It's an extremely distinctive feature. It nearly has to be that, and VAIO was big, at the time. I have a vague memory of "Music Clip" as well. It's not completely and 100% recognizable, but my memory does have holes in it. 🤣 That's wonderful! Thanks for the help! I might see if I can find a used one, and try to make it work to see if it helps me remember more things from the time. Tracking down broken memories helps me fill in the gaps, sometimes. If I can get one of those in my hand, it could be very helpful. I greatly appreciate your time, in this regard.

持ってました。色々WM買いましたがファイル再生系ではこの個体のデザインがダントツで好きです。 初代iMacのマウスみたいなスケルトン風と文字色がサイバー感を出していてさすがソニーと思ったものです。

個人的に、メモリタイプWALKMANにおける、あるひとつの到達点だと思ってます このあと様々なデザインのメモリタイプWALKMANが出ていますが、ユーザーとして記憶に残る一台は正しくこの型番です

これはぜひ復刻版を発売（見た目はそのままで機能は最新）してほしいです。

古さが、、ない、、今、普及価格でだせば絶対に売れるのに、、まあ選択と集中、、 ブランドごと中国の会社に託してもいいんじゃ、、バイオより存在が空気になるとは思えませんし
