Over 19 people are injured and 3 are hospitalized at "Black Bike Week" after multiple fights caused a STAMPEDE that ended in a MASS CASU*LTY INCIDENT at in Myrtle Beach SC. This is the largest African American motorcycle event in the United States. I am from SC, but have lived in other states before moving back. Years ago, my then husband and I were gonna take a vacation to Myrtle Beach. We booked a room then later found out it was Black Biker week. We called the hotel to cancel but they refused to refund our money until my then husband threatened to ruin them. Then they complied. Businesses shut down during Black Biker Week in MB. These people will literally be in the road taking a crap or be having s*x on the side of the road. It is absolutely INSANE. They steal while they are there and wreck every establishment they enter. I think ALLL Businesses should just shut down for that week....even the hotels. Maybe they will stay out. The police always have their hands full. White Biker Week there .. is a stark contrast. The black fatigue is fatiguing

Residents of Shenoy Nagar, which falls under the Anna Nagar constituency, are jumping in joy because the TASMAC bar on First Cross Street (allegedly owned by a DMK-linked strongman), which had been a major nuisance and headache for residents for years, has finally been shut down. Despite repeated complaints from residents over the years, and despite the proximity to a girls’ school, no serious effort was allegedly made earlier to shut it down. Respectable families avoided using that road altogether whether for walking, riding, or even driving. The bar reportedly had no proper toilet facilities, which led to the unbearable urine stench that engulfed the area for years. For any decent resident, the entire stretch had become an eyesore and a public-health nuisance. Finally, it has now been shut down. Saturday is my mom’s funeral. I want to tell a story about her. When we were kids growing up in NYC, we were taught to love the NYPD and FDNY. Especially after 9/11. Every year she’d take us to run Tunnel to Towers Foundation, where you run from Brooklyn through the tunnel to the World Trade Center just like FDNY hero Stephen Siller did on September 11. She’d stop to shake every cop’s hand she could. Three years ago she was diagnosed with brain cancer. The disease and the surgery shut down her body, making it hard for her to do anything. But she wanted to run the race, and I wasn’t going to tell her she shouldn’t. So we drove up to New York from DC to run it, and of course it’s pouring rain for the race. And even though she could barely walk, she ran. I took this video of her running across the finish line. Her whole right side was shut down, and it hurt like hell, but she ran. So we just signed up to run it again this year in her honor, and are raising money for Tunnel to Towers Foundation in her name as Team Melanie Cash. There’s no organization she’d rather support. And if you want to run with us, drinks are on me after the race, which she’d also support.

Young pitchers can easily assume the path to more velocity is to muscle up—throw harder, spin faster, and force the delivery. That might make the radar-gun number jump, but it doesn’t always make the pitch look faster to the hitter. For young pitchers and the coaches guiding them, the better long-term investment is learning the movement principles that shape the delivery: balance, stride length, direction, and extension. When a pitcher moves efficiently down the mound and releases the ball closer to home plate, the hitter has less time to react—and the pitch can play faster than its measured velocity. That’s why extension matters. Pulling your head away from the target can pull the body out of line, move the release point back, and take away some of that advantage. For every inch your head pulls off, you lose 2 inches of extension. The goal is to stay balanced, move down the target line, and let efficient sequencing deliver the ball out front.

At some point when reviewing plays, the league should consider adding a speed threshold for anything involving the element of time. When you slow plays down to 1/100th the speed, it distorts what actually happened and makes it look like, in this case, Cooks possessed the ball for seconds prior to losing it. The game is not played in slow motion or frame by frame. For a catch: A) Secure control of the ball ✅ B) Two feet down in bounds ✅ C) After (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, clearly performs any act common to the game (e.g., extend the ball forward, take an additional step, tuck the ball away and turn upfield, or avoid or ward off an opponent), or he maintains control of the ball long enough to do so. C is where there is a judgement needed since A and B are clearly met. Now consider this note to the rule: If a player, who satisfied (a) and (b), but has not satisfied (c), contacts the ground and loses control of the ball, it is an incomplete pass if the ball hits the ground before he regains control, or if he regains control out of bounds.
