O’Devaney Gardens was once a place where generations grew up in secure council homes. This redevelopment should have done the same for the next generation. On public land, we must maximize affordable housing. We desperately need more housing that working families can actually afford. We are pushing for a lot more affordable housing at the proposed Monitor Point in Greenpoint. Tune into the land use hearing tomorrow, May 27th.

Want affordable homes? We have the land. We have the labour. We have the lumber. All we need to do is get this Liberal government out of the way.

🏚️ REVEALED! Over 2,500 boarded-up council homes across the state, 750 left empty for more than a year. It’s scandalous that FF-FG have allowed this to happen during a housing emergency. These should be homes for families, for people desperate for a secure roof over their heads. It’s time to stand together and fight back to force the government to provide the investment needed to bring these homes back into use. We need homes not empty houses! #sinnféin #housingcrisis #raisetheroof

We need affordable housing options in CO. We're seeing population decline because our younger generation cannot afford to live here, & people are being priced out of their homes. On day 1, I'll tackle the housing crisis to give every Coloradan access to affordable housing.

We are in a housing crisis. Too few homes are being built, and even fewer are affordable. That's why we're changing the NPPF to get Britain building again and give people the affordable homes they need, right where they need them. Here’s how 👇

‘Vaccines’ are not safe, effective or even affordable. Boosters need to be stopped and we must have a public inquiry now.

Every Canadian should be able to afford a home. But families are being priced out of their homes, out of their neighbourhoods. This needs to change. We need to take housing back for people. Here is my plan:

Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani's plan to build 200,000 new homes, protect tenants, and invest in public housing will make this a more affordable city for New Yorkers. In Congress, I’ll be a strong partner for the resources to bring this vision to life. Love that the Mayor launched his #BlockByBlock plan in Gowanus. The work we did here is a model for how we can make housing more affordable in NYC & all around the country.

Corporate landlords are pricing families out of homeownership and affordable rent. We need to crack down on Wall Street buying up homes and driving up costs, and make it easier for working families to buy a house and afford rent.

The Social Democrats have a fully costed plan to deliver affordable purchase homes. To ensure these homes are genuinely affordable, we would create supply by supporting not-for-profit housing bodies and local authorities to build them. We would bring vacant homes back into use and ban the bulk purchasing of homes. 🏡 Our housing plan:

Today I'm announcing a plan to unleash the public sector and build the housing we desperately need. As Mayor, I will triple New York City's production of permanently affordable, union-built, rent-stabilized homes, constructing 200,000 new units over the next decade.

Thanks to the provincial government and Ministers Nathan Neudorf and Jason Nixon, we just broke ground on the first phase of Southview, the largest affordable housing project in Calgary Housing Company history! This is personal for me. I grew up only blocks away in East Calgary. I know how much a stable home and a strong community matter for families. Working with the Province of Alberta, Calgary Housing, and our federal partners, we are building 250 new homes here. These will include one, two, three, and four-bedroom homes, with near-market, affordable, and deeply affordable options. When Council repealed blanket rezoning, we made a clear commitment. We would focus on affordable housing and build the homes Calgarians need, in the right places, with real support for families. That is what this project, and the many more to come, delivers. Calgary is growing toward two million people. We need practical solutions that help people find a home, stay in their community, and build a better future. I am proud of this partnership and grateful to everyone who helped make today happen. This is a major investment in East Calgary, in families, and in a city where everyone has a place to call home.

President William Ruto has defended the use of national and county government land for affordable housing, saying it should be developed for Kenyans rather than left vulnerable to grabbers or turned into slums. Speaking at the Broad-based PG meeting in Naivasha, Ruto said public land can legally be converted for development. He added that houses built through the housing levy and public land are sold to Kenyans, with the proceeds creating a revolving fund to finance more homes.
