@MagistraCiC APs are a key component to successful reintegration from custody to community for the most vulnerable and high risk individuals. @MagistraCiC #RestorativeLivesProject work in partnership with APs supporting people to transition to law-abiding lives #RestorativeRecovery #Lifeboat

Currently, 80% of prison leavers that cycle through the AP system are back in prison within a year of release. A deep radical overhaul of the entire AP and Probation systems are long overdue.

This is great news well done, it’s a great start

Where will these be and from when?

Hi Jamie, these will be in Staffordshire, Merseyside and North Yorkshire, thank you.

Really...? Considering they have been banged up, how have they supported their addiction..?? And why should the TAX payer fund this..? This woke bullshit for prisoners.. WHAT ABOUT THE VICTIMS..? What support do they get?? This is just another scheme to rob the PUBLIC PURSE..!

There has been recovery focused accommodation available to prison leavers for over a decade, in the form of abstinent supported housing. There is nothing groundbreaking here.

@MoJGovUK Help us, help you reduce re-offending. 🙌🏻 #ADHD is five to ten times more common among #alcoholics. 15% of ADHD adults report abusing alcohol and drugs in the last year. Unmanaged ADHD costs the UK #justice system £11.7 million annually.

@sheofsteele Not everyone is eligible for an AP. What about the thousands of others without accommodation or in need of recovery support?

journalists who leave HM's prison alive are less likely to have died in their cell.
