Kid ran into the road, parents to blame And this is news because?

The officer wasn’t speeding! The boy ran out in front of the van! The officer had no time to react!!! End of!!!!

Parents at fault. The kid ran onto the road.

Parents fault all day long.he ain’t speeding. Run out from behind a car is crazy silly.

Why is there no mention of the parents /guardians in the headline of the story? A child ran out in front of a car.... Its turned into a news story because it was a police car. Which stopped on a dime!

Why would you let you're four year old walk over a road alone

Surely the headline should say child hit by car because his parents were not watching or supervising him? Why is this news???

Lucky he wasn’t going too fast. Parents should have taught that kid road safety

Why has such a minor collision happening in the USA made the news in the UK? Report on actual news ffs.

The kid ran right out on to the road. He’s 4, why was he crossing the street alone?

breaking news on sky: i have odd socks on today, it was the polices fault

If they weren't driving an SUV then maybe they would have been seen the child's shadow

Parents should have been arrested on site for not paying attention to those child .

Shows the moment a child ran out into the road without looking. Fixed it for you

WHY IS NO ONE examining the lack of parental responsibility ???

They were all so busy chatting it took them a good 5 seconds to even realise kid had been hit.

No blame on vehicle driver no matter police or not.....parents need to look after their kids.

Breaking news in UK, I just had baked potato, beans and cheese. #skynews

That was NOT the officer’s fault

4 years of age left unattended to run across the road. Parents at fault hope the police officer is ok.

You’re supposed to stop behind schools buses in the US. You can see the stop sign on the van and the officer could clearly see there were children present, however it appears the van did not have its flashing lights on, but it’s hard to tell for the video.

Right speed, checking for movement and shadows between front axle. Called time to react. Ice cream vans attract issues

Sly news stirring hate against the police anywhere in the world.

Kid came out from behind a car, essentially out of nowhere, not the drivers fault. Was taught as a child not to cross roads from behind the cover of cars, it's hard for drivers to see you.

So the big stop sign on the back of the stopped van is optional?

Video shows it was not the officers fault hope the child is ok

Oh the poor policeman and child . What do they say never run out from behind parked cars. Poor driver didn't have a chance of missing the little boy. Hope they are all OK

I am confused by the comments, did no one else see the huge stop sign on the back of the ice cream truck thing that says stop for children? I saw no stop or even a roll.

More likely that the boy hit the police vehicle as his parents were not looking after him properly

All those adults yet no one watching the child.

American SUV’s and trucks are too big. It’s disturbing

It’s a terrible accident. That’s all.

Pathetic from @SkyNews just trying to fill their feed on platforms This is not news.

Not the cop’s fault!
