@MoreMorrow @BenDavis1972 @BBCBreakfast Excellent work from Ben. Kept admirably cool and landed the argument flawlessly.

@BenDavis1972 @BBCBreakfast Clear, concise and landed every point. Congratulations @BenDavis1972 - you are my new go-to for explaining the problem of Ofsted to my non-education pals and collaborators.

@BenDavis1972 @BBCBreakfast I wonder how long it will be before the @Ofstednews response arrives They’ll be quoting their flawed research again I suppose combined with a tone deaf defence of the single word judgements. I hope I’m wrong but Spielman is so entrenched I just can’t see her accepting any of it.

@BenDavis1972 @BBCBreakfast The key bit is the deleterious environment the inspection regime is generating. Short term planning to comply with a very broad brush assessment regime which doesn't really take into account the context of the school is wasteful. It doesn't do what it says on the tin.

@BenDavis1972 @BBCBreakfast Really interested to hear the thoughts of @BenDavis1972 if he took out ‘schools’’, ‘headteachers’, ‘staff’ and replaced it with ‘pupils’ ‘students’’young people’ the experience is exactly the same. Exams (inspection) followed by a single number as a grade and judgment.

@BenDavis1972 @BBCBreakfast I'm being totally serious here. My attitude is just don't bother about Ofsted.Let them come in and let them make their judgement. If you look at yourself in the mirror you definitely know you do your best. If it's too stressful then seriously move to a new job. That's my outlook.
