Yesterday, I announced the results of the vote on Farage’s Bill which sought to rip up people’s rights and pull the UK out of the ECHR - he was stopped by the Liberal Democrats. Leaving the ECHR would mean turning our backs on the hard-won rights British lawyers helped create.

There is no question - British people’s rights will still be protected outside the ECHR So we need to get on and prioritise protecting our borders and the British national interest and come out of the ECHR @bbcbreakfast @bbcnews
