Robert Jenrick says that if we leave the ECHR and cap migration, we can grow our economy, strengthening our defences and fix our NHS In 2016 they told us leaving the EU would fix all these problems Between 2016 and 2024 we had a Brexit Conservative government which made all these problems worse The problem isn't asylum seekers or legal migrants to our country, the problem is underfunding of public services by the Conservative party since 2010 Robert Jenrick was first an MP in 2014, he's been at it for 10 years so far and the problems have only worsened under his watch

David Starkey notes that Jeremy Hunt's book neglects mass migration, which he presided over while in government, and only mentions Islam once — referencing "persecuted Muslims". Hunt responds by saying, "I am married to a foreigner. I think one of the best things about this country is the fact that, over centuries, we have welcomed the brightest and the best from all over the world." Britain had less migration between 1066 and the Second World War than it has since 1997, under Hunt's government. Hunt's vague platitudes about integration are infuriating. He is only "worried" about illegal migration because it will "break the social contract" which lets legal migration to continue. He is either lying or delusional. Either way, he isn't sorry for what his government did to our country.
