The dad should immediately stop the shopping trip for the girls, telling his wife to continue while he takes them home. He does not spare the rod, and they do not get the sweets that they were trying to load into the cart. Meanwhile, the mom buys her daughter longer shorts and completes the trip in peace, calling dad when its time to get her.

Well, first off, the dad is a pussy. (That's short for pusillanimous.) He needs to take a stand and get the mom's back. Second, he needs to grab the young, fat one by the scruff of her neck and march her out of the store. There needs to be immediate, severe consequences for this.

Mom needs to put down the damn phone and take her to the car and leave her there to come back from shopping.
