Based on lots of beta feedback, the most requested missing feature of TanStack Table has been Cell Selection and Keyboard Navigation. And now, an official cellSelectionFeature has been added to V9! I originally started out thinking that we could just build an official example, showing you how to implement this stuff yourself, but then after I built it, I thought that it should at least be an official plugin. And then after just a couple hours more of refinement, I just ended up adding it as a stock feature. 😂 There are a couple reasons why this is now a new built-in stock feature: 1. In V9, all features are opt-in, so this doesn't bloat the js bundle for anyone not using it. 2. The keyboard navigation part of this feature is actually not a part of this TanStack Table feature... because that gets handled by TanStack Hotkeys! More on that down below 👇

First of all, regarding yesterday's 🇷🇺 attack on Kramatorsk. Today, work continued all day at the site of the attack. Unfortunately, the death toll has increased. 🇷🇺 missiles claimed the lives of 11 of our people, including three children. My condolences to the families. More than 60 people were injured and wounded. They hit an ordinary cafe in Kramatorsk, a popular pizzeria. Neighboring houses, shops, and a gas station were damaged. An ordinary city, an ordinary life. There may still be people under the rubble. Someone on Reddit built a real operating system using Claude. Not a browser app pretending to be one. An actual OS that runs on bare metal. It's called Fable-OS. The only interface is a sentence. No bash. No commands. You type what you want and an AI agent executes it through direct kernel syscalls. Everything runs in Ring 0. In the demo, the agent realized it didn't have a sound driver. So it found the Intel sound card, built a driver for it from scratch, and played a sound. On its own. The OS writes its own drivers. Evolves itself. The agent's tools are the kernel itself. Open source. Built because the developer got tired of people calling browser apps "AI operating systems." This one actually is.

The bodies of our #Kuki_Zo brothers and sisters have finally been given to us today after about 8 months. I don't know whether I'm sad & pained today, or whether I'm glad. It's very difficult to comprehend my feelings right now, Whether the tears that are forming are for sadness or are for gladness, knowing what must be going through the family of their loved ones, what they must be thinking, what they must be doing. How angry they must be feeling. How sad they must be feeling. How helpless they must be feeling. I know the pain that helplessness of losing someone when I lost my dad. So, I know very well what must be going through their minds. All I can say for sure is, let their sacrifices and their pain, and your pain not go in vain. It just cannot. See you all on the other side and say hello to my Dad as well. Rest in peace brave ones. 🙏🙏🙏 #Manipur

🟢 NEW | Hamas’ Khaled Meshaal on Resistance Weapons & Security Speaking at the Al Jazeera Forum in Doha on Sunday, Feb. 8, Hamas political leader abroad Khaled Meshaal reiterated an offer for a truce of up to 10 years with Israel, while rejecting claims that Palestinian disarmament is an “international demand,” calling it an Israeli dictate being pushed onto Washington and echoed by parts of the international system. Meshaal said calls to disarm Palestinians while occupation continues would leave Gaza defenseless against Israel’s overwhelming military power and exterminationist agenda. He acknowledged the need for a pragmatic post-war framework to enable reconstruction and prevent a return to fighting, but explained that it could not be built on total disarmament. Meshaal said Hamas has instead engaged through mediators Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt, and via indirect channels with the United States, around an alternative security approach based on several “guarantees,” reiterating a proposal he also outlined in an interview with Drop Site’s Jeremy Scahill and Jawa Ahmad (see post in reply). He said an understanding has already been reached with the three mediators on this issue and that they are “attempting to promote that to the Americans,” adding that peace can only be advanced “away from Israeli pressure and blackmail.” As part of that framework, Meshaal said Hamas has offered a long-term truce of “five, seven, up to ten years.” The approach is based on additional guarantees, including the presence of international forces on the borders to “keep peace and prevent clashes,” and the role of regional mediators with deep ties to Hamas to guarantee the peace. Resistance weapons during this period would be “not used and not displayed,” he added. Meshaal stressed that Israel’s real concern is not with its security. It is seeking to confiscate Palestinian weapons and place them in the hands of proxy militias in Gaza to fuel assassinations and internal chaos, he pointed out. The real threat is Israel, not a devastated Gaza that will take a long time simply to recover after 2+ year-long war of annihilation, he said, pushing back on claims of an international consensus on this issue of weapons: “If the world wants to wake up, the most important thing is that the American administration, Europeans, and international forces deal with the Palestinian cause through an objective vision, not through the Israeli eye.”
