Okay… I f*cking love Cavalry. Spent all day watching tutorials. My initial thoughts: Cavalry does a lot of things better than After Effects but After Effects does a lot of things better than Cavalry. The one thing I love so far is the effectors in Cavalry feel SO native.

I can't believe my eyes! I compared Cavalry render speed to After effects and this happened: forget about that Cavalry rendered a complicated Motion graphic piece without a single lag and very minimal Layer usage that would take a ton of work in after effects, but when I RENDERED animation and gave it to After effects It had a problem playing the RENDERED MP4 VIDEO! and during that it used more ram to play a normal video than Cavalry to just play the raw project file with all the layers and effects. this is just crazy. we might be witnessing a new era of motion design.

I haven't looked at my particle shader in a while, so while implementing lighting support I've also done a big pass of bugfixes. Distortion effects in particular should behave a lot better with other things in the shader now.

Guys, I'm so nervous, I quit my latest job cuz honestly, it was Killin me , everything was wrong, I had a lot of problems.. depression. I was sad ALL THE TIME, it was one of the hardest times of my life and tomorrow I will start a new job. But many things will change and I'm so so so nervous and excited but nervous.
