I know some people are confused at the list of stis on this bill. Smallpox Bacterial Vaginosis Pelvic Inflammatory Disease These are all listed as "stis" in this bill, but they are NOT stis. But this is a testament to the ignorance of the gop.

What fresh hell????? Speaking as an obgyn this is NOT okay. Also, we don’t currently test men for HPV so given that 97% of women have had HPV — yours included — that means women get jailed and men don’t? 🤬🤯🤬🤯🤬

It's horrifying. Those women would be potentially jailed, and because they'd be "felons" they'd not be able to vote and finding work would be severe challenge.

This just made my blood boil, smallpox isn’t an STI, pelvic inflammatory disease is a complication from an STI but not communicable, and although men are carriers for HPV they’re not tested for it yet 96-98% of women have had one form of HPV or another. I feel like screaming!!!

CA Democrats blocked a bill to make sex trafficking minors a felony again. CA legislature passed a bill reducing penalties for oral & an*l sex with willing children. CA is the primary location that they are trying to make sexually abusing children legal. The writing is on the wall, and they MUST be stopped at all costs.

Today, we passed HB1539, a bill to put Oklahoma on a path to zero income tax. I thank Sen. Bergstrom and Rep. Lepak for their work on this bill. But as the governor has talked about, we need "half and a path." While HB1539 will result in a gradual phaseout of the income tax, Oklahomans need relief now. We need an immediate half-point or full-point cut in the tax rate and I will continue to work with other Senators to try to get that across the finish line.

This man’s daughter needed an ambulance ride, when he received the bill for $600 from the ambulance service, being a hectic situation they didn’t have his insurance card at the time so after he got the bill in the mail he resubmitted with his insurance information thinking that would cover the $600 however instead of getting a receipt in the mail he got a bill for more than double the original amount $1300, the bill was actually even higher it was $2342.17 and his insurance only paid $1000😳 When paying $10 K and insurance premium over the course of the year gets you less than half of your bill paid and someone without insurance only gets a bill for $600… Make it make sense🙄

People ask me all the time, “Can a Democrat win in Oklahoma?” The answer is YES. Because Oklahoma is not a red state, it’s a gerrymandered state. Just two governors ago, we had a Democratic governor and a more balanced legislature. Today, Oklahoma is ranked 50th in quality of public education and 49th in access to affordable health care. After nearly two decades of one-party control, we are at the bottom of the lists that matter most to working families. It’s not because Oklahomans don’t care, it’s because the maps protect politicians instead of representing the people. Oklahomans want a governor focused on what actually affects their lives: strong public schools, affordable and accessible health care, and an economy that works for everyday families. Those are not partisan issues. They are Oklahoma priorities. As Governor, I will fight for real, sustainable investment in our public schools, including meaningful pay raises for teachers and support staff. I will work to strengthen and expand access to affordable and accessible health care, especially in rural Oklahoma. And I will focus on lowering costs and building an economy that works for everyday families. Thank you to Governor Andy Beshear for having me on the podcast and helping elevate these issues. The boys ranged in age from 2-12 years old when Zakrzewski assaulted them. One mother of a boy who was 2 years old when Zakrzewski assaulted him cried while giving her impact statement, saying she will never be able to meet the son she would have had, had he not been assaulted. Zakrzewski filmed many of his assaults on the children. "Zakrzewski was ultimately charged with a total of 34 felony counts, including 27 felony counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor under the age of 14, two felony counts of oral copulation of a child under the age of 10, and one felony count of possession of child p*rnography," the DA's office said. "He also faced one felony count of using a minor for s*x acts, two felony counts of distributing p*rnography to a minor for the purpose of engaging in s*xual conduct, and one felony count of an attempted lewd or lascivious act with a minor under the age of 14." The parents hope Zakrzewski’s time in prison is “the stuff of nightmares.”
