Old, outdated and valueless catching. What the hell was O’Hoppe doing in an athletic secondary stance with Ohtani on first base attempting to steal?! Hmmmm, what a concept?! Beat it geeks! SAY NO TO #OneKneeTrash KIDS!! The gimmick is tired. #ROXstradamus

Been against it since day 1. Analytical geeks ruined the position. Time to make catching great again.

The same O’Hoppe that threw a runner out from this position? There’s a time and place where knee down and traditional positions can be utilized.

Unpopular take: Runners steal off the pitcher, not the catcher. Good throw, but Trevino could have thrown Ohtani out there.

Logan O’Hoppe is in the 6th percentile for blocking, 2nd percentile for caught stealing above average, 29th percentile for framing, and 4th percentile for pop time. Exactly what about his TKD is so effective? Just curious.

Terrible slide. Proper low slide and he’s safe

Looking like the 90s there when they played ball. Not math week.

To each their own. One knee isn’t bad. Pop times are fine.

Pop times are the same for one knee down compared to traditional stance. The best catchers should be able to choose whatever stance they feel the most comfortable in for any situation.
