In this same Committee hearing, Democrats likened age verification to prevent minors from accessing porn sites to gun control for law-abiding adults. It's day 3. In the Commerce Committee. This is going to be the most unglued session.

The next version of Omarchy is going to have this fun screensaver built-in. Do you need a screensaver like this with modern monitors? No. But since when are we limited by mere needs 😄

abc123 reported that a man in Houston TX was arrested after allegedly calling the governor's office and threatened to stab everyone if an age restriction wasn't taken off Crunchyroll The exact quote: "“I don’t know which one of you sons of bitches passed this motherfucking bill to get this damn shit blocking my motherfucking anime, but you whole ass motherfuckers need to unpass this shit. Y’all are fucking ridiculous with your bitch asses. My Google account says I’m fucking over the age of 18, and your dumbass is passing these dumbass laws. I’m a fucking stab every goddamn one of you bitches. Unlock my fucking anime.” As of reporting (I reached out to verify this) • Crunchyroll, Netflix, Hulu, Hidive, and Yomi are NOT blocked by age verification in Texas • However per kxan "Another law is Texas’ app store age verification law. It requires a similar age verification process for smartphone users who want to download software from an app store such as Google Play. There’s currently ongoing litigation over the law’s constitutionality, but the law is in effect until that concludes." But given what's known about the case, the caller in question said their Google account says they’re 18+ which would cover that requirement. Unless he was looking at hentai? (unverified) it's not exactly clear what was causing him to be blocked from watching anime

Omarchy OS Android Important note: This is just me using my creativity. It is nothing official or anything that DHH has started working on. I just feel a burning desire to learn how to build a layer on top of Android and how user interactions would work in such a case. Something clean, elegant, and intuitive to use.

This is a “Hive” of tweaker homes in Lake Elsinore, California. This is behind Costco in the Grove It looks like a third world country. You can see it seems they have security who brings people in and out I was able to find multiple residents all saying the exact same thing about the area, meth is everywhere It blows my mind that those things can be right out in the open but law enforcement doesn’t do anything, these people are just immune to laws everyone else has to follow That’s California for you….

Serial child molesters sentenced to hundreds of years in prison are being let out early in California. That's because the "elderly" parole law makes them eligible for release at the age of 50. The extremism of Newsom and Pan is as nonsensical as it is dangerous.

Even Tucker Carlson is raising awareness that California is ending Free Speech with passed legislation Elon Musk needs to be aware of this “The state of California — has passed a law in the state legislature, both chambers of the state legislature, it awaits a signature from Gavin Newsom, that would ban hate speech on the internet in California. Hate speech. Now, how do they define hate speech? I actually have the definition. I actually wrote it down because I was so shocked by it that this is happening. The state of California, if Gavin Newsom signs this law, and he has until October 13th to do it, he, people will be fined if the censors determine that speech constitutes, and we're quoting now, "Violence, intimidation, or coercion..." What's intimidation or coercion — coercion based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, immigration status, or other protected characteristics. Obviously, white Christian men are not covered under that - The state of California under Gavin Newsom is about to, we think, censor the opinions of Americans. Not to protect anybody, but to shield themselves from criticism so they can continue to do what they want to do in secret.” This new law will impose millions and millions of dollars in fines forcing social media companies to censor what California Democrats define as hate speech
