At approximately 1600 hrs, Indian Coast Guard Ship Sachet intercepted a VHF RT distress call from a fishing boat located about 33 nautical miles off Suratkal coast, reporting severe flooding and hull damage due to rough sea conditions, placing the lives of all six crew members at imminent risk. The rescue operation was carried out under extremely weather conditions. Despite these formidable challenges, the crew of ICGS Sachet executed the operation with remarkable efficiency. ALERT: 53-year-old man lost at sea for over 12 hours rescued by U.S. Coast Guard helicopter off the California coast. Paul Anthony Carbullido Jr. and a woman allegedly fell off their jet skis and were unable to get back on. A good Samaritan called 911 after hearing a woman yelling for help in the water, and lifeguards quickly came to rescue the woman who had been stranded for an hour. A couple of hours later, the Coast Guard found the 2 jet skis, but the man was nowhere to be found. Around 11 AM the next morning, Carbullido was rescued about 3 miles off the Seal Beach Pier and airlifted back to shore. Paramedics assessed Carbullido and feared he might have hypothermia and transported him to a hospital.

China Coast Guard immediately dispatched two vessels to the site for search and rescue. As of now, 13 crew members have been rescued, and rescue operations are ongoing.

An HC-130J Combat King II from the 71st Rescue Squadron ran air-to-air refueling drills with A-10 Thunderbolts from the 74th Fighter Squadron over Moody AFB, Georgia. The A-10 is a short-range aircraft built for close air support. Aerial refueling extends its reach dramatically and keeps it in the fight far longer than its fuel capacity normally allows.
