@bbcdebatenight FFS. Hear we go again. Of the 60 plus nations that have gained independence from the British Establishment..... was currency a deal breaker? Did it make them want to have second thoughts? Did other countries refuse to trade? Of course effin not !

@bbcdebatenight They walk among us! 🤦‍♀️ Don't they understand that every country uses money to buy and sell goods & services? Scotland's currency group is ready whenever we declare independence. Of course, we will have our own currency. Anything else is ludicrous. This is how it's done👇

@bbcdebatenight Strange 🤔. When I go abroad I tend to use the currency of the country I am visiting. Am I the only person that goes to a bureau de change.

@bbcdebatenight I think he was very confused. Difficult to inform people about opportunities for an independent Scotland when basic understanding of having a currency-issuing central bank in a country where you pay tax in that currency when there is such (wilful?) confusion

@bbcdebatenight Bollocks. There have even been reports in the past where holidaymakers got better exchange rates for Scottish Bank notes than B of E notes. No doubt influenced by political preferences of whoever ran the bureau de change but possibly an indication of future rates.

@bbcdebatenight Scotland does not issue its own currency. Scottish bank notes are pounds Sterling.
