Bitcoin just hit $ 61K. My altcoin portfolio barely moved. That's not normal. In a typical Bitcoin drawdown, altcoins fall twice as hard. This time the opposite is happening and it might be the most important shift in this market. In this video I break down what's actually going on: – Bitcoin sits on the 200-week moving average at $ 61K. The same level that marked the bottom in 2013, 2015, 2018 and 2020. The daily RSI is near 19, the lowest since COVID, the Aug 2023 crash and the Feb 2026 crash. Every prior time, price was higher within months. – The trigger was Strategy's first Bitcoin sale in over three years, 32 BTC to fund its STRC dividend. Economically tiny. Symbolically heavy. "When you do start spending Bitcoin, you buy more Bitcoin so you can spend it as well, then you end up saving more as well. So you actually end up in a better position," says BTCarel 🟠⚡️🇿🇦 from Money⚡️Badger. It's even more powerful in Bitcoin circular economies, as Hermann Vivier from Bitcoin Ekasi explains. "What we're trying to do is to get Bitcoin to flow within the local community. It's not about how many merchants you onboard. It's about what happens to the sats that you spend," Vivier explains. "It's not about going out and onboarding shops. It's about onboarding one shop and then playing detective and finding out what they are doing with the sats that they are receiving." This is the former President of PayPal talking about using #Bitcoin to make the $7.5 Trillion DAILY Foreign Exchange Market a much more efficient & profitable place. He is talking about building what Strike is building and compared the current monetary rails to a fax machine. I also completely agree with him that #Bitcoin will not be the currency people use to buy goods and services, however, it is a great settlement layer where you can have USD effectively on #Bitcoin rails and do immediate settlements. This is the best explanation of a corporate application of #Bitcoin being used as an invisible service layer that I've heard. If you think the corporates "don't get it" and only Twitter Anon's can "get it" - you're a moron. These people are smart and can catch up quickly with manpower. To put it into perspective, if 25% of the Daily Foreign Exchange market was on #Bitcoin rails it means $1.875 Trillion of daily consistent demand for #Bitcoin. Ben-Sasson, who co-authored the ZeroCash protocol whitepaper and helped found Zcash 🛡️, said that Bitcoin can still have native privacy and infinite scalability if developers can agree to reinstate OP_CAT, a Satoshi-era OP_Code that Bitcoin's creator disabled in 2010. It turns out that Zcash's resurgence in 2025 could be the catalyst for Bitcoin's privacy push. "I hope that one consequence of this would be that the Bitcoin community becomes more open to things like OP_CAT and OP_STARK so that it can have post-quantum security, best privacy, best scale and programmability for this beautiful hard asset that is Bitcoin." Ben-Sasson said. "The technology is ready. All you need is a soft fork adding nine lines of code that Satoshi actually introduced. It's called OP_CAT. It's very, very easy.
