He outlined four clear steps: 1) Lower construction costs – Cut regulatory red tape, streamline access to raw materials, and reform NEPA to make building homes easier. 2) Stop forcing “green” mandates – Green requirements inflate construction and purchase prices. 3) Overhaul permitting – Permitting delays drive costs through the roof. 4) Build dense, entry-level housing – Focus on affordable, accessible homes for first-time buyers. "We have to build a lot of homes in our country. The solution is not rent control. That's the Democrat playbook. It doesn't work. Only leads to higher prices for everyone. When you have people saying no more growth, no more contruction, you are actually driving up prices for young people trying to get in the game."
