Just tried, it's amazing

This is all gimmick BS. The resolution is so low. You can’t even read an email. I’ve used high-end headsets and it’s nowhere close to even being usable. Except for watching movies, but even then you’re better off just using your laptop.

This surface typing feature on Quest 3 is a solid step toward making VR actually usable for real work without extra gear. Early reports show users hitting 60+ WPM already after a short adjustment period.

If it works really well it would make the quest worth it’s money all over again

How do I do this

When I was a kid, I used to tap on every surface while practicing scales for my technical exams at music school. I would’ve gone crazy if I’d had something like this with keys back then 😍

And now that we can just natively sideload APKs... I hope people see the potential in what just got unlocked.

Hiding the virtual keyboard when the hand is over it feels like a mistake to me. A partial see-through would be nice for people learning how to type.

we need more accuracy and heptic feedback as well, plz.

How well does it work ?

Is it tough without tactile feedback?

The meta quest has so much potential to become a fantastic tool for work for people who work from different locations frequently. All they need to do is let me connect my laptop using a cable (for higher bandwidth) and then let me have a multi monitor setup with really good passthrough.

This is the only thing I always wanted from the moment I started using headsets

Looks very sci-fi, but actually pretty useless!

This.. but on a future Apple Glass 🍏👓🤩

How does it work?

Typing on any flat surface through VR is wild. The gap between this and a physical keyboard is still massive but the direction is clear. Spatial computing is going to eat traditional input methods eventually.

Feels like small sci-fi steps adding up. If it’s accurate enough to type without rage quitting, this could change how people work in VR instead of just gaming. @nathie follow back appreciated fr

Finally, my coffee table can judge my typing skills ☕⌨️😂

yeah lets all walk around with giant headsets on our faces everywhere we go and live through a ms delayed camera

we should be able to do this with ray bans as well

Interesting move, it could turn public spaces into quick work hubs, but accuracy and tactile feedback still slow adoption

How’s the accuracy?

would love to see the keyboard come to Vision Pro

Is this a third-party app, or a native part of the Quest?

its insanely inaccurate tho It was exhausting to even type a paragraph

our keyboard will online on the vision OS and andriodXR watiing for us!

We need swipes

Is it still a beta feature or in release the version and how about the accuracy?

How does it work?🤔

Where is this located on the quest?

Where you see setting in what is its name I would like to try it out.

Next: haptic feedback good enough to touch type without looking. The input problem in XR isn't vision—it's confirmation you've actually hit the key.
