@DBE_SA #MyTeacher i hereby nominate L.I.S Sosibo from Kudung Middle School for the National teachers award. With our immense working conditions as farm school, Mam Sosibo uses the little resources we have to make Physical Education memorable for our learners.

@DBE_SA Ungangxami kakhulu Sisi, one thing at a time. Am sure there are pertinent issues you need to start with before talking awards. 1. Conditions at which teachers work in 2. Safety at schools 3. infrastructure at rural schools. I like your work, but be careful not to be everywhere.

@DBE_SA Please Minister review teacher salaries ,they earning peanuts, look Osd for teachers ,bring back senior teacher incentives ,rural allowance. I am sure teachers would be motivated

@DBE_SA Hi, does one need to still be in school and does the teacher need to be currently teaching to participate? For instance, if I went to high school from 2010-2015 and I've been out of school for 5 years and the teacher is retired.

This week we headed to Springfield because Illinois has the resources to fully fund public education — but Governor Pritzker and the Democratic supermajority still have to decide whose side they’re on. Are they on the side of billionaires and corporate tax breaks? Or are they with students, educators, and working families? We showed up to back HB 5409 and SB 3701, which ends proration, and demand the state finally meet its own funding promises. There are more educators than billionaires. And we’re organizing like it.

🏏 This morning, The King welcomed the Afghan national women’s cricket team to Clarence House. The team was set up during the Afghan Republic in 2010, but lost recognition as a national team following the Taliban’s return to power. In Afghanistan, women and girls are banned from playing sport, along with other restrictions on their education, work and public life. His Majesty was able to hear the stories of many of the players who fled Afghanistan and have rebuilt their lives as refugees, playing club cricket informally, and campaigning for recognition.

We can never repay the debt we owe to the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to this nation. But we can and should show our thanks however we are able. This is for all the people in the arena ( your life, your career, your family ) who are doing it for them .. not for the validation of the crowd One of the great issues in our society right now is that people live their lives for outside validation, for the clicks, for the likes, for the followers, for the comments. This isn't just in social media. This is happening in the analog and real world too. Too many people are keeping up with the Joneses and worried about what people think about them. They worry about what people think about how much money they have, what school they go to, or even worse, what school their kids go to, and on and on and on … I will continue to make content with the hope it breaks someone out of the hamster wheel and that’s that ❤️❤️❤️❤️

On this Memorial Day we remember those who have given their lives in the service of this nation, and we hold in our hearts the families and loved ones they left behind. For those of us who wore the uniform in combat, this is a day where we remember our friends and comrades who made the ultimate sacrifice. We remember them as they were: sons and daughters, husbands and wives, mothers and fathers. And we rededicate ourselves to living good lives, not to waste the opportunity to live on they gave us with their sacrifice. The willingness of some young Americans to sign the dotted line and risk their futures for the good of the nation is a resource we must jealously guard. It cannot be abused and squandered by those in power for their own benefit. The best way to honor the dead is to make sure future generations are not sacrificed for no reason. Semper Fidelis.
