On second thought, CDPR should keep Cyberpunk 2 only in first-person. There's no way this scene would hit the same if it was in third-person...

This is exactly why people saying "just add tpp, bruh" are dumb. It's a whole philosophy. Every interaction, and even the open world itself, or the design of the city, is built around fpp. They should fully focus on that and ignore the noise.

What about third-person with first-person cutscenes?

Well, this is exactly the kind of impactful scene I _would not_ want in 3rd-person. Nevertheless, I think there are scenes that would work fine in 3rd-person.

CDPR is one of the biggest studio in the whole Gaming industry, they can add first and third person camera in the same Game, just like Rockstar does Just because it's in the third person doesn't mean there can't be moments like this in the first person mode

For every scene like this there’s as many or more scenes that would work better in 3rd person.

Back in 2018-2019, I was one of the ones saying the game should be in third-person or have an option to be in third-person. I 100% disagree after playing it, the level of immersion in first-person completely sold me on it. Remarkable game.

I wouldn't mind first person cut scenes but I really want an option for a 3rd person camera. I absolutely hate first person only open world games.

I don't see a problem with adding third person as an option for those who get motion sickness or who just want it, the mod that adds it has half a million downloads so it's not like people don't want it.

You right... It would hit much harder because you will be able to see your character react... 1st person will only ever be immersive until we live in a world with VR like Ready Player One... There's a reason games like RDR2, Witcher 3 are legendary. 3rd person.. 😏

No cause this would’ve been an ingame cutscene with V’s face and I’d argue it would’ve hit even harder

CDPR 100% didnt think Aurore would get as popular as she did otherwise they would have done a lot more with her before killing the girl just to make us even more sad, i call this the Dimitresco Syndrome.

Most players actually hate diversity they want to play same games over and over, especially the “third person-only” crowd

I would prefer an option for both. I prefer walking around the world in 3rd. i prefer dynamic cut-scenes in 3rd, I prefer seeing the character i created within the world. Having the option to switch should not be controversial.

CDPR should keep the game first person only, and focus completely on it. The experience and immersion from Cyberpunk, to this day, is one the best... The game just feels perfect around 1st person, the story, the world, interactions...

It's funny how people don't realize you can have both.. you can even force the first perspective for the scenes and pop back out to 3rd for the rest. What they did was lazy, just look at how bad the launch was and how long it took to fix everything

Tell me you know absolutely nothing about framing a shot without telling me you know nothing about framing a shot 😂. You can absolutely make such scenes work with either perspective. It just takes effort. No excuses. You can include both, and let players choose.

Games like Skyrim got it right, they made it easy to toggle from 1st to 3rd person as and when you liked, it would have been nice to do that with CP2077, but 1st person wasn't bad at all

Imo they should go all the way. No PC/Console support, go full VR instead.
