On this date in 2009, the Dubs made a Draft Day selection that changed the game... for good.

steph curry at No.7 is wild tho

Best draft pick in franchise history! 🐐

There were 6 players drafted before Curry? Dayuummm bro

Fast Forward till now he got the DUDS from ZERO CHAMPIONSHIP TO FOUR at a particular Team and you say his not added in the GOAT conversation Whyyyyyyyyyyy

It's crazy cuz he wanted to be a Knick too. I'm glad that didn't happen. Can't see Steph anywhere else and without him being drafted by the warriors I would have never been a Warriors fan.

🐐

Best shooter in the draft turned to best shooter in history

Our 🐐! #dubnation

Best draft pick in the Franchise history

🥰

@me_wela Your loss @Timberwolves

I heard his dad asked the Warriors not to draft him because he wanted to go to the Knicks. Warriors drafted him and the rest is history.

The best shooter in the draft... #YesSir

Definitely, his mother's son -- looks just like Sonya! ... What a selection it turned out to be! He knew it!

🧑‍🍳🔥

Best move the Warriors ever made.

I love this guy! After that night basketball was never the same again! And so was Oakland Ca. So many times of joy! My life was full of basketball excitement and great memories! Thank you my brother! What a great role model in a man, a black man, representing Oakland! 💪🏼🏆🏆🏆🏆
