My uncle loved the Dave Brubeck Quartet and painted these.

What a classic! Ten years later, Jethro Tull's "Living In The Past" was the next (& only?) time a composition in 5/4 found its way onto wide exposure on the radio. And, again, a woodwind instrument, Ian Anderson's flute, carried the tune, along w/the timely lyrics!

I love the original version and Desmond is one of my favorite alto players. If you aren’t familiar with the album “We're All Together Again for the First Time”- live album with Gerry Mulligan on baritone sax. Superb version of “Take Five”
