I lived near there and saw it live! Was devastating to me and everyone in the area!

Ill never forget seeing Christa McAuliffe's parents watching the sky as it happened, confusion initially on their faces, then the camera shot mercifully changed.

I had missed school that Monday for being sick. Came back and had to miss gym class to take a test. Teachers had it on and were watching and I got to pause taking the test to see it. Will never forget it. Got let out of school early and shared with kids returning from gym.

Actually, they didn't die from the explosion. The impact coming down did them in. Sadly.
