The strikes were conducted in coordination with the DeepStrike Center. A storage facility for Orion-type UAVs was hit. The Orion is a reusable strike-reconnaissance drone worth over $5 million, capable of carrying missiles and aerial bombs and remaining airborne for up to 24 hours. The destruction of four Orion UAVs has been confirmed. An An-72P aircraft was also hit. This maritime patrol aircraft is used to monitor coastal areas and detect violations of territorial waters. The third target was a P-37 “Mech” radar station, designed to detect aerial targets, vector fighter aircraft, and provide target designation for surface-to-air missile systems. We must ensure the capabilities that allow Europeans to produce here – in Europe – everything that is critically necessary for the defense of Europe. Our European industry, our technological base, our military and political capabilities must be sufficient, under any circumstances, to guarantee reliable protection of life across Europe – for every country and every nation. This includes, in particular, Europe’s ability to produce anti-ballistic air defense systems in the necessary volumes, as well as full-strength protection against any drones, any aerial targets.
