The indigenous engine is being developed to power the company's SVAYATT-L1 long-range cruise missile and could also support future collaborative combat drones through higher-thrust variants. The programme has completed its conceptual and detailed design phases and is now progressing toward subsystem testing, validation and full engine certification, with the company aiming to strengthen India's indigenous defence propulsion capabilities.
