One interesting tidbit I found from this conversation which revolves around the classic Kushi is how an actor can change the total scene when it comes to comedy For example, the comedy in the scene from First Day First Show didn’t work but if an actor like Naveen Polishetty...

Staging and reaction shots are the most primary things to make the scenes work in films, First Day First Show missed the both, even the same continues with many other tried to be comedy films

That's correct observation. Naveen does this in flow.

Ahh how did Naveen come into this context and Naveen is the only one who has that rare potential? It just doesn’t make sense unless this is a PR/goodwill post for Naveen.

Tony realizes his cousin was behind the Joey Peeps murder. In this scene Tony confronts him about it. Steve Buscemi is a great actor. Comedy, Dark comedy like Fargo, Mobster hit man, doesn't matter. He is an amazing actor. He called him coach, but deep down inside he knows Tony never had the makings of a varsity athlete. 🎥: The Sopranos

Paul Giamatti is one of the great living actors. That statement is not hyperbolic in the slightest- this man can do everything as an actor, from drama to comedy to horror. Giamatti is such a relatable actor, you feel like you know him without ever meeting him. I love this man.

He is the only actor that can give you action and comedy in one scene 🎬. Chan is a legend. The ending part 😂😂😂.

In my classic British comedy this scene from Carry On Cleo was voted the funniest moment in British comedy. It is where Caesar, Kenneth Williams proclaims "Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me".

COMEDY TIP: A 'reaction shot' doesn’t tell the audience to laugh. It gives them permission to. A blink, a stare, a double-take. No words needed. The joke is the setup. The reaction is the payoff. I tagged all 19 reaction shots in this classic comedy scene from SPIES LIKE US.

I can't stop thinking about this... Michael Caine on his defining philosophy on life: Use the Difficulty As a young actor, he was rehearsing a play scene when a chair got stuck in the door and blocked his path. He told the other actor he couldn't get by the chair to enter the room in the scene. The actor's response: "Use the difficulty...if it's a comedy, fall over it, if it's a drama, pick it up and smash it." This story offers a powerful reframe: Every single difficulty you face is an opportunity in disguise. The difficulty is a guarantee. The struggle. The obstacle. The frustration. The failure. The hurt. The setback. They will come. You don’t get to choose whether they appear, or when, but you do get to choose how you handle them. How can you use the difficulty you're currently facing? - Can you embrace this struggle? - Can you grow through it? - Can you find flow through friction? If you were reading a biography of your life, what would make this difficulty into an inflection point? The moment when everything turned for the better. The unmistakable point where everything changed. How would you have responded to this moment? The difficulty is a guarantee. You can't control it. But you can control how you react to it. You can control your response to it. You can control your attitude towards it. You can use the difficulty.

Everyone needs to hear this... I can't stop thinking about this... How can you use the difficulty you're currently facing? How can you embrace the struggle? How can you find flow through the friction? As with everything in life, control the controllable: The difficulty is already there. You can't control it. But you can control how you react to it. You can control your response to it. You can control your attitude towards it. Lesson: Difficulty is inevitable. Use it.

Why is there never any accountability when it comes to employers. It seems they operate teetering on the edge of ethical incompetence at times when it comes to hiring. If I make a mistake on the application then I can easily be disqualified without an explanation for a job. But how can they offer me a job and then take it away because they didn’t check my availability? Is it because they thought if they offered me enough money I would change my mind? Would that work with you? I can be flexible but I do keep a schedule for a reason.

📺This scene from The Bob Newhart Show is pure classic sitcom absurdity. Bob’s patient is a ventriloquist who believes his dummy wants to leave the act and go solo. The dummy starts talking back during the therapy session, and Newhart just plays it completely straight. That deadpan reaction to escalating nonsense is what he did better than almost anyone. It’s a great example of how the show could take a ridiculous premise and make it work through understatement. ❓I used to watch this show when I was about 11 years old. It was so funny. Did you watch The Newhart Show? #BobNewhart #TheBobNewhartShow #ClassicTV #70sTV #Sitcom #Comedy

Classic SNL was so good. This is such an interesting skit comparing it to the show now, knowing how far left it is. What was once pure comedy has become their platform. Funny how things change. Phil Hartman was awesome!!!!!!! 🔥🤣
