Hamas is a terrorist organization. This is not something that I am saying. This is something that we all know. It is reality. A reality studied and legally confirmed by the European Union who clearly recognizes Hamas as it is. A dangerous Islamic terrorist organization. Dangerous to whom? To all of us. A threat to our security. This is why an organization is put on the list of terrorist organizations in the first place. So to my colleagues in the EU, my question is simple. How are we, the representatives of this parliament supposed to feel safe when a member of this house, elected to represent our countries, citizens and freedom goes to a demonstration in a foreign country, namely Jordan, and stands enthusiastically among protests who have slogans supporting Hamas, the terrorist organization that is recognize by us as such and that demonstrated its level of cruelty and bloodthirst? According to the French newspaper Le Point this member was left-wing MEP Rima Hassan. She participated to a pro-Hamas demonstration in Jordan where participants honored Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh with slogans glorifying jihad and threatening to remove Jews from Jerusalem. Rima Hassan enthusiastically attended the demonstration and published the videos on her social media. Again, Hamas is recognized by the EU as an Islamic terrorist organization and has killed, kidnapped and raped innocent people on October 7 and long before as we all know. It is a terrorist organization that means hell for Palestinians and Israelis and represents a serious danger to Europe, hence its presence on the EU list of terrorist organizations. Jeffrey Sachs: The old world leader, the United States, has been matched and, in many ways, overtaken by China. And I think we all feel that it’s not a temporary phenomenon, but really the end of US-led geopolitics, and even more fundamentally, the end of Western-led geopolitics. Our governments, in most places—with the exception of China, from my perspective—are not able to govern right now. The United States is probably the most incapacitated government of any major government. We’ve got a nut as president, just to be blunt about it. I’d like to be blunt because there are very few opportunities for adult conversation, which we need. We just need a real understanding. So, we have a president who is out of control, really, but we don’t really understand how the US government works right now. And everyone I know who interacts with Trump says that he has an attention span of a few seconds, basically, and is a complete ignoramus. And this is in the middle of a war that we’re in. Nobody knows how to deal with the United States because no one knows what’s really going on, what the relations are. It’s all the more unnerving because we have to fake everything as if we’re in a normal situation. So no matter how weird it gets, everyone says, “Oh yes, this is very interesting. We’re going to continue our diplomacy,” even though it’s a madhouse. The breakdown of US governance, the loss of US power, and the mindset reaction in the US are the main drivers of chaos in the world right now. I don’t even know whether they can de-escalate anymore because they’re so crazy. This is just the madman and the tantrum that’s coming with it. The answer would be for the rest of the world to act like grown-ups. Kaja Kallas tweeted, “Iran is an evil country that must be brought to bear,” the day that they were attacked by the US and Israel. Again, nobody dared speak the truth. Nobody speaks the truth right now. So, this is a very deep governance crisis on top of everything else. My prescription is that we behave like grown-ups again. This teacher says if you ever wonder why people are leaving the teaching profession in droves, this is one of the main reasons. She has students that she has written an incident report on every single day. She has contacted the principal and the support staff and the help that was given to her was to email the parents of the students. Basically, no help or support at all. We have many epidemics in our country but this is one of the biggest that doesn’t get enough attention. We all know our school system is a failure but even more than we know. Students these days have zero consequences. They are passed with straight F’s. They are allowed to be a continuing distraction and disruption in the classrooms and nothing is done about it. We need to start over. 💯 Why do we allow this this as a school? As a district? As a city? As a state? As a country? It didn’t use to be like this? This is why other countries surpass us in education, there is no discipline in our schools. Would you want to be a teacher in this day and age at a public school?

It is very likely that we are just a repeated link in an infinite chain. History, as we know, is often rewritten and we only have fragments of knowledge of the past. Think about it, what if all that we consider our own achievement was actually the path of ancient knowledge and technology undertaken by someone else, which we are rediscovering for ourselves?😉

Right now, on the streets of Munich and other cities, people are calling for support for freedom in Iran. We saw it. Ukraine does not share a border with Iran. We’ve never had a conflict of interest with the Iranian regime. But the Iranian Shahed drones they sold to Russia are killing our people and destroying our infrastructure. The Iranian regime has already done – and can still do – more harm than many other regimes could do in a century. And yet this regime still exists. Right now, on the streets of Munich and other cities, people are calling for support for freedom in Iran. We saw it. Ukraine does not share a border with Iran. We’ve never had a conflict of interest with the Iranian regime. But the Iranian Shahed drones they sold to Russia are killing our people and destroying our infrastructure. The Iranian regime has already done – and can still do – more harm than many other regimes could do in a century. And yet this regime still exists. And it hopes to survive everything – even this crisis. Today, the people of Iran expect from the world what we in Ukraine needed on February 24, when the Russian invasion began – unity, determination, and speed. Of course, speed. Speed in support. And regimes like the one in Iran must not be given time. When they have time, they only kill more. They must be stopped immediately. And this is exactly what should have happened with the Ayatollah – after all the wars his regime unleashed and all the lives it took – and with Putin as well: after the war in Georgia, after Syria, after 2014 and the occupation of Crimea.
