My question is: do we need a breakthrough in material science or will robots and 3d comtinuous printing of these alloys extend our limits with current metals

I love Deltabots! Very fast. Geometry at its finest.

Rate my designs.

We need something of this nature that can build structures in space, and on the surface of the moon and Mars. Then we can start doing significant productive activity, beyond just pure science, in space.

very cool. all we need now are hover cars

I’ve never seen a delta milling robot—surprised it’s rigid enough but the surface finish looks good!

no no no no no

It's not a very accurate process. They use a welding head to dispense the material. Plus the fine particulate metals in the air are extremely dangerous to employees in the building & office. Very expensive to protect people properly.

Integrative additive manufacturing enables complex structures with enhanced functionality, a game-changer for industries

Pretty slick multi axis metal printer!!!
