If we truly want Edwin Sifuna to become President and transform Kenya, electing him alone will not be enough. A President without loyal, principled MPs and senators would be surrounded, frustrated and possibly impeached within months. On the other hand, electing new legislators without Sifuna at the top would leave them vulnerable to intimidation, bribery and political capture by Ruto’s system. Kenya needs a complete political rebirth. We must send home the leaders who have failed us and elect a new generation committed to protecting the people’s mandate. Every elected leader must go home, except Sifuna. We need a new President, a new Parliament and a new beginning. Can we achieve it? Yes but only if Kenyans vote for change from the presidency to the grassroots.

When we say Sifuna has always stood with the people, this is what we mean. I haven’t been in politics for long, but one thing I’ve already learnt is that it takes a different kind of politician to say uncomfortable truths, even when those truths may not be music to the ears of those in power. Too many politicians become people-pleasers once they get close to their bosses. They agree, they applaud, they follow. But Sifuna has repeatedly shown that his loyalty is not to an individual, it is to the people and to the cause. Even when it was Raila Odinga, his position remained clear: Ruto must go. Today, our Linda Mwananchi Youth Leaders visited the gravesite of the late Albert Ojwang to pay their respects on behalf of the entire Linda Mwananchi leadership and team. They also spent time with Albert’s parents, offering our support, solidarity and comfort as they continue to navigate this painful loss. We sincerely appreciate Hon Caroli Omondi, MP,CBS Edwin Sifuna for supporting the team and making this visit possible. Early this year, H.E. Edwin Sifuna visited Meru, where he attended church. At that time, we had only held the Busia and Kitengela rallies. The journey was still young, the vision was still taking shape, and many could not yet see what we were beginning to build. That day, the pastor spoke a powerful prophecy over him and anointed him. He spoke of Joshua, of going where Moses had not reached, and of taking the journey forward to conquer new ground. I remember him telling him that where Baba, our Moses, did not reach, it was his assignment to reach and conquer. The pastor prayed for strength, wisdom and favour upon him. And now, we return to Meru this weekend. But this time, we return with a different story. The journey has grown. The movement has grown. The dream that began with a few people willing to believe has now become a national conversation. We return to Meru with H.E. Edwin Sifuna as the Linda Mwananchi presidential candidate. Sometimes you have to go back to where a word was spoken, not because you have forgotten it, but because you now understand the journey it was preparing you for. From Meru, the journey continues. Gladys Wanga: Sifuna and Babu are members of the NDC. Sifuna, by virtue of being a Senator of Nairobi, is a delegate at that NDC. Babu, by virtue of being a member of NEC and also MP for Embakasi, is a delegate at that NDC. They are not necessarily going to storm; they can attend the NDC, and we hope they will attend the NDC. We lost our leader, and that is a serious matter. We are stabilizing as we move forward. People can have different opinions, as in the case of Sifuna, they can do something different in the manner in which they are doing, but the party must stabilize.
