Format should not be a creative decision at capture. It should be a distribution decision at publish. Aleph 2.0 collapsed the gap between I filmed it wrong and I need to reshoot. What other post-production constraint should AI solve next?

Filling the frame so it looks intentional is a real leap. The harder version is filling a whole world — shot 40 holding the same light, same rules, same logic as shot 1. Coherence across the frame comes long before coherence across the story.

Dreamina Seedance 2.0 is by far the best video model I've tried, and Dreamina makes it even better. You can try it in the link below. It's not just about the quality of the output, but about how much control you have over your video's look. Watch my video here. I'm attaching reference images and asking the model to generate a video using them. I can reference each image using the @ symbol to instruct the model which image to use. You can even upload a clip and use its camera movement, styles from an image, and audio vibe from a track. By the way, you can take an existing video and replace, remove, or add elements to it while the model preserves everything else. This is the closest we've gotten to "editing videos like photos".

So Runway Aleph 2.0 just dropped, and it introduces a pretty interesting workflow for AI video footage editing. Rather than repeatedly prompting a video model and hoping it makes the change you want, you can edit a specific frame first, then use that frame to guide the video generation. For this test, I take an existing footage inside Runway: • Picked a frame from the original video • Used Nano Banana Pro to add a new effect/object • Brought that frame into Aleph 2.0 to generate the updated video It feels like a more controllable and potentially cheaper way to make targeted edits to existing footage than current AI video omni models available like Seedance and Gemini.
