My son got kicked in the face by Simone Manuel during a warm up at the Santa Clara International Meet. He was so proud! 😂

I was so honored to be run over by Janet Evans. Twice. It only took her a few minutes to lap me in a 50m.

The worst is when you're on a smaller team and have to share warmup lanes so half the swimmers in the lane are doing a different routine

Ah yes, good memories of breaking my hand on someone’s face in the lane next to me back in the summer of ‘08. Never did fly during warmups again. Still have the scar as an immortal reminder of my hubris.

@krazycliffy3 The fact I haven’t swam competitively in 10 years and I can still smell and hear this video rn… on top of that, I think my forearms are bruising just watching this😅😅

And officials standing on the pool deck. I've had two bad accidents in warmups, both caused by flip turns into someone's head. Saw them both and fortunately the swimmers grabbed the victim off the bottom of the pool.

Could never warmup fly properly because of the amount of people
