For weeks, I was embedded at Universal Ostrich Farms in Edgewood, B.C., documenting the farmers’ battle with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency through arrests, roadblocks, legal conflicts, and vigils — and now the truth will prevail. The farmers' fight to save their healthy flock came to a brutal end on November 6, 2025, when federally contracted marksmen killed more than 300 healthy ostriches in the name of avian flu prevention. Now, after months of putting together the footage, interviews and unanswered questions surrounding what happened on that farm during Canada’s most controversial and costly cull, Canadians will finally get to see the full story on the big screen. In a CNBC interview a few years back, Warren Buffet relayed a story of a time shortly after he and Bill Gates first met. Gate's father asked a group of roughly 20 people to write down on a sheet of paper the one word that they thought accounted for their success. Without seeing what the other wrote, both Buffet and Gates chose the same word: Focus. With this in mind, I wondered: How they would advise someone to choose what they place their focus on? In search of this answer, I ran across an article by author Scott Dinsmore which describes Buffet's 5-step framework for narrowing your focus to what really matters: Your "Avoid At All Costs List." The story is framed as a conversation between Buffet and his pilot (no idea if this is actually what happened) but you'll get the point nonetheless. Here goes: Buffet jokingly said to his pilot: "The fact that you're still working for me, tells me I'm not doing my job. You should be out going after more of your goals and dreams." Warren then asked his pilot to take the following steps: (You should do the same) • List your top 25: Make a list of the Top 25 things you want to do over the next few years or in your lifetime. • Choose your top 5: Review your list and circle the Top 5 items that are most important to you. This is critical––you can only pick 5. • Make a plan: Now that you have your Top 5, it's time to make a plan. How will you start working on these? Who do you need to enlist help from? When can you start? Hint: the answer should be now! • Know your priorities: Now that you've made your Top 5 plan, let's talk about the other 20 items on your list: Buffet asked his pilot, "What is your plan for completing those?" The pilot stated that he word work on those intermittently, as he had time, since they were not part of the Top 5. To the pilot's surprise, Buffet said: "No, you've got it all wrong. Everything you didn't circle just became your 'Avoid At All Costs List.' No matter what, these things get no attention from you until you've succeded with your Top 5." •Be ruthless with your Top 5 list: I think most of us would have probably answered Buffet in a similar manner to his pilot. I mean, those other things are still important, right? Well, according to Buffet (and seemingly Gates as well), the ability to focus on the few things that are the most important to you––what you really want––is the key to outsized results. Letting yourself be distracted by the 20 (less important) things is why you never reach your potential on the 5 that matter the most. For someone like me (with more ideas than time) this exercise was extremely helpful. Take 20 minutes today and write out your own list and see what you come up with. You might be surprised at the results.

And on Facebook, in videos posted by Hanyard herself, we see her being driven around and surrounded by Dalton officers, which got us to wondering, why all the cops? We weren't opposed to her having the security detail. We asked how long ark. And how often? Dalton trustee Brittany Norwood says Hennure began assembling her details shortly after being elected in 2021 using handpicked Dalton police officers. Using a freedom of information request, we obtained the work records for 6 of the officers assigned to Hanyard's security detail at various times r and showed them to some of Dalton's trustees. This is a freedom of information request we did to see how much overtime these officers are on her security detail. Oh, wow. 162 hours. 162. Oh, that's nothing. What goes through your mind when you see these numbers? Our Uh, it it's it's disappointing. It's frustrating. The officers are paid every 2 weeks, which without overtime is 80 hours. But when they're put on Hennard's detail, that 80 hours balloons to well over a 100 hours, sometimes 200 hours. Ark. And in the case of officer Terry Young last May, 303 hours worked over a 2 week period. Our That resulted in a single paycheck of more than $13,000. How? How does a person put in a 2 armed pay period. 303 hours. That's impossible. That's impossible. It's 336 hours. Go to sleep? In fact, there are 336 hours hours total in 2 weeks, meaning Young was not being paid for only 33 hours over that period. Other officers on the security detail are also racking overtime paychecks in the multiple 1,000 of dollars. Do you mind if I ask you a couple questions about your security detail? Absolutely not.” This woman is corrupt to the core, previously: Tiffany A. Henyard, Mayor of Dolton, Illinois denies her salary of $300,000 per year. Proven true by her tax filing Spent $24k of tax payer money on restaurants in 1 year. Thousands on first class flights, Vegas trips, Vegas strip dining. This guy built JARVIS on Claude Code and with 1 clap of his hands launches his entire work day, saving $5,000 a month on a personal assistant. Inside he runs a pipeline of 5 plugins on Claude Code that on a double clap of the hands wakes up 3 monitors, sets the Philips Hue light to focus mode, turns on a Spotify playlist, and greets him by voice with a British accent, reading out the time, date, and weather. No Alexa, no smart speakers, no separate smart home app. Just him, a MacBook M3 Max on the desk, an iPhone in the pocket, and 1 local API key. And a regular personal assistant for the same volume of tasks charges $5,000 a month or more on salary alone, plus another $1,200 to cover off-hours work time. Meanwhile this guy's expenses are only tokens and a subscription to ElevenLabs for the British voice. All 5 plugins launch through 1 JARVIS, burn about 4 million tokens a day, and close the monthly API bill at about $640. Each plugin writes shared state to a local sandbox at /Users/dev/jarvis-suite, and 1 of them lives right in the iPhone and picks up voice requests while the owner is in the kitchen or on a run. And when the owner at that moment is on a run or in a coffee shop, the Mobile agent in his iPhone picks up 1 request on its own: switches the Spotify playlist, dictates the summary of the last commit, updates the Pomodoro timer, and reads the Wallaroo reminder. Look at 0:55 in the video, that is where JARVIS intercepts a voice request from outside and confirms execution with the phrase "Very good, sir." The fresh system log from last Wednesday looks like this: "wakeup: double clap registered at 09:14, 3 monitors activated, temperature 20.4C, sunny. clock on iPad was 4 minutes behind, syncing via NTP." Aidan Kearney can confirm how distraught I was over that Twitter account and how it effected my job. There are PLENTY of texts between he and I to confirm this and because everyone always demands receipts, I'll post them soon. They'll also show that me joining Twitter was no calculated take down of @TheOldMerIsDead between Aidan and I. (Post to follow) Ok, dolls, let's discuss: & let's also keep in mind: Aidan and Meredith broke up sometime in early July, I believe.. 7/18/25: Aidan and I are hanging out and my phone rings off the hook, I call one of the numbers back and inadvertently leave a voicemail (Side Note: how did you know we were together, Mere?) 7/22/25: A turtle chat is sent in under my name, using the exact words from the voicemail Meredith would supposedly be sent TWO DAYS LATER (voicemail and turtle chat in the comments of this post) 7/23/25: I receive some texts from a random number, one saying "you will be exposed" 7/24/25: M 💌 is born and "Slam pig Chelsea O'Neill" is pubically "exposed". (I previously had my Snapchat, Twitter & Insta handles listed on my Facebook, even though I don’t use Snapchat or Twitter ((until last week)) and I rarely use Instagram. He calls me, PISSED—understandably, and I didn’t have an explanation for him. I was dumbfounded. Later that night, it hit me: the phone calls I was getting all night. I asked Aidan if I should dial the number back to prove to him that it was Meredith calling, he said "go for it." I then remembered he hadn’t told me the whole story about how he got the watch back, so he started explaining and I had forgotten my phone was ringing because I didn’t put it on speaker.. Marc Brackett spent 20 years at Yale studying why intelligent people are the worst at understanding their own emotions. What he found will change how you see yourself: 1. Most people cannot name what they are feeling. When Brackett asks a room to find the single word that best describes their emotion, over half struggle. We have never been formally taught to go deep into our emotional lives. We develop a sophisticated vocabulary for things we pay attention to, like wine, but almost none for our own inner states. 2. Emotions quietly control decisions we think are objective. Brackett had teachers grade the exact same middle school essay after being put in a good or bad mood. The grades differed by a full letter, sometimes two. When asked afterwards if their emotional state affected their evaluation, 90% said no way. It did, and they had no awareness of it. 3. Jealousy is about a relationship, a threat to a bond you already have. It matters because jealousy tends to drive more aggression and violence, so the strategy you would teach a jealous child is completely different from the one for an envious child. Brackett had a Fortune 100 company's executives rate 100 managers, including one question: if you left the company tomorrow, would you do anything to bring this person with you? That question correlated more strongly with emotional intelligence than anything else. People want to be around those who have these skills. 12. Brackett hires on the coffee shop criteria. At Yale, he stopped looking at grades because everyone applying is already smart enough. What he looks for instead is whether, in the first 30 seconds, he thinks he would enjoy grabbing coffee with the person and just talking. That instinct tells him whether they are curious, creative, and know how to ask questions, the things schools rarely teach. 13. Creativity only translates into creative output when paired with emotional intelligence. DON'T LET YOUR BITCOIN DIE WITH YOU 💀 ⚰️ Yea look, nobody likes to admit it but we all have to die one day. As I've been talking to people about their self custody lately - both Casa members and not - I hear the same thing over and over. "What happens if I die?" Many people feel pretty good about their bitcoin security for themselves. But their family members often have no idea how to use this stuff. Hardware wallet? Seed phrase stamped on metal? Shamir's secret sharing backups using SD cards, a passphrase, and a treasure hunt through the backyard with a shovel? 😵 We're solving that problem for all Casa members, starting today with Casa Inheritance. A key design principle we kept while building this was to make it as simple as possible for Recipients (your family members that will receive your bitcoin if you pass), while maintaining Casa-level security. An estate transfer is already a stressful time for family, and it can become even more stressful if you add in a crazy treasure hunt to access a fortune in bitcoin. For our basic 3 key vaults, we wanted it to be as easy as using the app. No metal plates, no need to use a hardware wallet, no magic passwords you have to keep track of or else risk messing up the asset transfer. Simplicity is security. So how does it work, in detail? A Vault Owner (Casa member) designates a Recipient (their family or friend) in the Casa app. The Recipient receives an invite to create a free Casa account. The Recipient scans a QR code provided by the Vault Owner, which contains an encrypted version of the owner's mobile key. This encrypted key is only able to be imported by the Recipient's Casa account, and the Recipient can't initially use it or see the vault balance. If the Vault Owner passes away, the Recipient can request access to the vault in their Casa app. This starts a 6 month timer, and sends a ton of notifications every month to the owner. If the owner is still alive, they can reject the request in app. If they are not, the timer will run out. When it does, the Recipient will be able to use the shared mobile key and the request a signature from the Casa Recovery Key for the shared vault. This gives them 2 out of 3 signatures, enough to access the assets. For 5 key vault users, one hardware key is shared with the Recipient. This small increase in friction for Recipients is often worth it for the increased security and resilience of a 5 key vault for larger holdings. To summarize now that you have the details: 1. Share keys and vault access during setup 2. 6 month timelock to ensure no malicious theft 3. Use shared keys and Casa key to access assets Full setup takes less than 5 minutes. Inheritance is one of the biggest problems in self custody today. Many people feel pretty good about their bitcoin security for themselves. But their family members often have no idea how to use this stuff. Hardware wallet? Seed phrase stamped on metal? Shamir's secret sharing backups using SD cards, a passphrase, and a treasure hunt through the backyard with a shovel? 😵 We're solving that problem for all Casa members, starting today with Casa Inheritance. A key design principle we kept while building this was to make it as simple as possible for Recipients (your family members that will receive your bitcoin if you pass), while maintaining Casa-level security. An estate transfer is already a stressful time for family, and it can become even more stressful if you add in a crazy treasure hunt to access a fortune in bitcoin. For our basic 3 key vaults, we wanted it to be as easy as using the app. No metal plates, no need to use a hardware wallet, no magic passwords you have to keep track of or else risk messing up the asset transfer. Simplicity is security. So how does it work, in detail? A Vault Owner (Casa member) designates a Recipient (their family or friend) in the Casa app. The Recipient receives an invite to create a free Casa account. The Recipient scans a QR code provided by the Vault Owner, which contains an encrypted version of the owner's mobile key. This encrypted key is only able to be imported by the Recipient's Casa account, and the Recipient can't initially use it or see the vault balance. If the Vault Owner passes away, the Recipient can request access to the vault in their Casa app. This starts a 6 month timer, and sends a ton of notifications every month to the owner. If the owner is still alive, they can reject the request in app. If they are not, the timer will run out. When it does, the Recipient will be able to use the shared mobile key and the request a signature from the Casa Recovery Key for the shared vault. This gives them 2 out of 3 signatures, enough to access the assets. For 5 key vault users, one hardware key is shared with the Recipient. This small increase in friction for Recipients is often worth it for the increased security and resilience of a 5 key vault for larger holdings. To summarize now that you have the details: 1. Share keys and vault access during setup 2. 6 month timelock to ensure no malicious theft 3. Use shared keys and Casa key to access assets Full setup takes less than 5 minutes. Inheritance is one of the biggest problems in self custody today. Coffee thoughts - I’m not sure Candace is coming back. “I want to thank Baron for telling me it was time to do this”. “Thank you to everyone that’s been on this journey it’s been a heavy one.” “Today went a lot different than I thought it was going to be” Just for the record the court filing I posted last night was to get more time to respond and to go from 25 pages to 35 pages on why the court case with Harpole should be dismissed for “Failure to state a claim”. She’s trying to get it dismissed before it goes to discovery. Put the paperwork in AI it will give you the specifics. We all knew it was coming. The money it takes to fight these suits is insane. She’d be stupid to not try to get it dismissed. And Tennessee has more laws protecting public figures so it would be easier to get dismissed than in Delaware (that doesn’t) with the Macrons. I still think more happened yesterday. And the way she was acting just gives me this maybe it for a bit. Maybe I’m wrong but I knew yesterday something was up. Her video seemed more directed at making her last claims on everyone than continuing the attack. There was nothing there for an emergency video. She’s heavily pregnant, she’s run out of material, she’s being sued and the cases are coming up, she has 4 kids about to be 5 and you can only attack people so long with the same accusations. The trial is coming up that will disprove the conspiracies. Or maybe she just wanted one last show until she gets back. I still question if maybe another lawsuit dropped. We shall see. Off to vacation myself. Apparently we are going to Spain. (Joking).

You want to get to know your users really really well.” #2 Have a short cycle time & understand compound growth “The cycle here is basically: talk to customer to understand pain point → build product to address that → get product in front of user → see what they do → repeat cycle. This cycle is how you iterate and improve. The law of compound growth being what it is: if you can get 2% better every iteration cycle, your iteration cycle is every four hours rather than every four weeks, and you compound that over the course of a few years, you’ll be in a very very different place. Make it one of your top goals to build one of the fastest iterating companies the world has ever seen.” #3 Make a long-term commitment “Most companies have a 2-3 year time horizon. But companies are almost always a 10 year project if they work. If you think about it that way from the very beginning, you will make very different and much better decisions. I think this is the only arbitrage opportunity left in the market. Almost no one makes a fairly long-term commitment to a new project.
