In both the native app and the web version, threads are synced down to the machine and the session runs locally. Both will get the option to run in the cloud soon.

Will we be able to self-host DeltaDB? In a business setting, you can't use something you don't control... and here I think having two options—self-hosting and cloud hosting where you manage everything for us—is a good solution.
