KIDS: Sidney Crosby will go down as the best player of my generation. I've gotten to see him a few times in person and he is hands down the best player in person I've ever seen. His gift? I think he does the little things better than anybody else. Puck battles, being in the right place for support, puck protection...the little things that may go unnoticed to the casual fan he is consistently great at. One of those habits is being around the net with his stick on the ice. He is always getting to the dirty areas of the ice ready to score. In his career he's scored close to 600 goals...most of the time by getting to the net, winning battle for position, and having incredible in tight skill. So if you want to score goals - get to the net. It's not easy, it takes pride, but it's where the goals are scored. Check out Crosby on this one. It won't go down in the highlight column but it's amazing in it's simplicity. Go to the net with your stick on the ice. It's a staple for Crosby, who will go down as one of the best players of all time.

Today at Uhuru Park, I met this man sitting all by himself, deep in thought. I approached him and we talked. He shared that life has really been tough he has been searching for a job for a long time without success. Two months ago, his house was locked, and since then, he has been sleeping on the streets. I wanted to help him pay the two months’ rent, but all he asked for was transport money to go back home to the village, where he at least has a place to stay and regroup. I listened and supported him with the fare so he can go home, plan afresh, and hopefully return to Nairobi or anywhere once an opportunity opens up. He is a chef and ready to work. If anyone can offer him a job or support, please reach out to me since his phone was stolen: 0720836634( his number is recorded in the video if you have an opportunity for him.) Sometimes a small act of kindness can help someone restart life. Let’s continue looking out for each other.

He's the one that broke my jaw forever ago, and I got him back. I broke his knee not long after, but he's the one that wired me shut. He is a hard spar. She says to him that he has nothing to apologise for - it’s his parents who owe him an apology. You could hear a pin drop in the studio. I sat with these two for hours and watched them wrestle in real time with what to share and what to withhold. I saw Suzanne break down in one of the most horrendous bout of tears I have ever seen, which she asked me not to air so that people can focus on the issues. Time doesn’t make the grief go away, but it shifts. I still miss Sam every single day and wish he was here but I can’t change that. What I have been doing is donating the proceeds from the tshirt created in memory of Sam to Jae’s Place They have the resources to help those who need it and to encourage genuine check ins with those you love or those you think could use a chat. 10/10 would recommend and I hope one day I can do something in memory of Sam to that extent. Miss you kiddo.
