The opening sequence of Bullet Train Explosion goes crazy. Based on the 1975 film "The Bullet Train" and from director Shinji Higuchi. Now playing.

The competition was so strong for Best Director at the 1976 Oscars, that Spielberg missed out for Jaws. The nominees were Robert Altman, Federico Fellini, Milos Forman, Stanley Kubrick and Sidney Lumet.

Flight is a flawed film that’s far from perfect, but this opening crash sequence is the film’s most memorable scene & a moment that just stays with you. Between both Flight & Cast Away, director Robert Zemeckis has mastered capturing the horror that accompanies a plane crash.

Originally, the opening scene of The Witch (2015) was going to begin with the "peekaboo" sequence, but Robert Eggers felt they needed more about the family to set up the story. "- It would have made for a very good jarring opening."
