Open-source robot arm meets hand tracking [📍GitHub below] It is designed with an industrial mindset but built as a 3D-printed desktop system. PAROL6 paired with a LEAP Motion controller is a nice example of how accessible robot teleoperation has become. • Hand motion is streamed to the robot at...

I love this. Open teleop at 100 Hz means anyone can collect manipulation data for imitation learning without proprietary hardware. Low-cost interaction data is exactly what embodied models still need. Great work @SourceRobotics

An open source arm with real time hand tracking at 100 Hz makes for a sweet desktop teleop setup without dealing with locked-down proprietary hardware.

teleoperation demos look great on day one. getting the same grab to work twice is where most robot builds slow down.

3D-printed arms are cheap. Paroling them is the real art, where your hands get stuck tells you more than any benchmark ever could. Smart use of Leap Motion for that tactile feedback loop

more demos are not free progress. bad teleop just teaches priors you will spend weeks unlearning.
