Unfortunately, Democrats have a supermajority in the Maryland General Assembly. Their acquiescence to radical environmentalism and organizations such as the Sierra Club will cause energy prices to explode next month. This isn't a partisan talking point, and their letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is simply performative and shifts blame as per usual. Over the years, Maryland has passed legislation such as the Climate Solutions Act of 2022 and participated in superfluous Green Energy Initiatives such as the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) at the expense of ratepayers. These actions pose a unique threat to our grid reliability that other PJM states are not exposed to. Unfortunately, Democrats have a supermajority in the Maryland General Assembly. Their acquiescence to radical environmentalism and organizations such as the Sierra Club will cause energy prices to explode next month. This isn't a partisan talking point, and their letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is simply performative and shifts blame as per usual. Over the years, Maryland has passed legislation such as the Climate Solutions Act of 2022 and participated in superfluous Green Energy Initiatives such as the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) at the expense of ratepayers.
