#CycloneDitwah | Indian Air Force Humanitarian Assistance The Indian Air Force, in close coordination with Sri Lankan authorities, carried out major rescue and evacuation operations in the landslide-affected Kotmale region, which remains completely cut off by road. Across the day’s missions, IAF helicopters evacuated a total of 45 stranded passengers, including 6 critical casualties and 4 infants, and brought them safely to Colombo. These included 12 Indian nationals and over 30 foreign nationals from countries such as Germany, South Africa, Slovenia, the UK, Poland, Belarus, Iran, Australia, Pakistan and Bangladesh, along with Sri Lankan citizens. 🏥 NEW: Israel points to broken European Hospital as it prepares to clear Gaza City hospitals Israeli Army Radio and the Times of Israel reported Saturday that the European Hospital in Khan Younis will serve as the replacement for all Gaza City hospitals as the army moves to seize the city — but Gaza’s Health Ministry says the facility is devastated and nowhere near ready to operate. In May this year, the hospital was hit by a heavy Israeli airstrike targeting a tunnel beneath the compound. The attack killed at least 28 people, caused massive damage to the facility (including roads and infrastructure), and led to the evacuation of its remaining patients. The Times of Israel described medical staff cleaning and clearing the compound today, after the IDF finally allowed access, and cited Israeli officials who said the UN and international aid groups are drawing up plans to restart the hospital “as an additional medical response” for the estimated one million Palestinians expected to be forcibly displaced. But Gaza’s Ministry of Health rejected that narrative, saying an initial assessment found massive damage to sewage, water, electricity, and oxygen systems, as well as to buildings and medical equipment. It warned that even if resources were provided immediately, it would take at least two months and $1.3 million just to restart the hospital at a minimal level, and six more months and another $3 million for full operation. The ministry stressed it will not evacuate any hospitals in Gaza governorate and renewed its demand for protection of health facilities and staff. The first Airbus #A400M for the Indonesian Air Force has entered the Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Seville, marking a significant milestone in the production of this multirole tanker and transport aircraft ahead of its delivery by the end of 2025. Despite multiple attempts by #FMGs to engage in constructive dialogue about these policies, the doors have been closed to them, leaving many feeling unheard and marginalized. Key Issues Highlighted: 1.Lack of Engagement with FMGs: •When FMGs approached the NMC to discuss the recent circulars impacting their education and career pathways, they were met with a closed door. This lack of openness contradicts the NMC’s stated commitment to inclusivity and transparency. •On other occasions, the NMC has publicly invited dialogue with medical professionals on various issues. The exclusion of FMGs from such conversations suggests a discrepancy in how different members of the medical community are treated. 2.The Need for Authentic Communication: •Effective policymaking requires genuine engagement with all stakeholders. FMGs, who represent a significant portion of the medical workforce, deserve to have their voices heard and their concerns addressed in a fair and transparent manner. •The perception that the NMC is avoiding meaningful dialogue with FMGs undermines trust and suggests a lack of willingness to address the real challenges faced by these dedicated professionals. Yesterday, the Government of Jamaica welcomed the arrival of relief supplies from the United Kingdom. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Government and people of the UK for their timely and support during this challenging period. Relief operations are fully underway. Supplies are being sorted, mobilized, and distributed across the island to assist families and communities affected by Hurricane Melissa. Many areas have already begun receiving critical aid, including food, water, medical items, and temporary shelter materials. We are aware that several communities remain isolated or are difficult to access due to damaged infrastructure. I want to reassure the Jamaican people that every effort is being made to reach them. Through coordinated efforts by the JDF, JCF, ODPEM, and local authorities, we are deploying relief by land and air. We are ensuring that every Jamaican receives the help they need. No one will be left behind.

Rehab facility gives heartbreaking update on homeless Former Nickelodeon star Tylor Chase. Eleven 11 Recovery, stepped in to provide treatment for the former ‘Ned’s Declassified’ star, after he received an outpouring of public support following a series of viral videos. Over the Christmas period, he was put on a medical hold in a Southern California hospital. Chase was taken to the rehab facility by a mental health crisis team but declined help and is back to living on the streets.
